Item type:Publication, The Impact of Work Stress on Innovative Work Behavior in Manufacturing: The Mediating Roles of Psychological Resilience and Work Engagement(2025-01-01) ;Feng, Qi ;Chaiyasoonthorn, WornchanokChaveesuk, SinghaInnovation is essential for the success and sustainability of organizations. This study investigates the novel relationship between work stress and innovative work behavior among employees in China's manufacturing sector, focusing on the mediating roles of psychological resilience and work engagement. Data were collected from 307 manufacturing employees using an online survey conducted between June 1, 2024, and July 15, 2024. The results reveal that work stress significantly impairs innovative work behavior (β = −0.25, p < 0.01). Furthermore, psychological resilience (β = −0.21, p < 0.01) and work engagement (β = −0.22, p < 0.01) were found to partially mediate this relationship, emphasizing their role in mitigating the negative impact of work stress on innovation. Methodologically, multiple regression analysis and mediation analysis using the PROCESS macro for SPSS were employed to test the hypotheses. These findings suggest that manufacturing organizations should prioritize strategies to reduce work stress, enhance psychological resilience, and boost work engagement to foster a more innovative workforce. This research contributes to the existing literature by elucidating the mechanisms through which work stress affects innovation and provides practical recommendations for improving innovation management in the manufacturing sector. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Exploring the Interplay Between Competitive Strategy, Capital Structure, Corporate Governance, and Enterprise Performance: Insights from Manufacturing Enterprises(2025-01-01) ;Feng, Qi ;Chaiyasoonthorn, WornchanokChaveesuk, SinghaAs global market competition continues to intensify, small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises face increasingly complex challenges in management and development. This study establishes a comprehensive conceptual framework to analyze how competitive strategy influences a firm's capital structure and governance structure, and further explores the mechanisms through which these factors impact enterprise performance. Unlike previous studies, which often treat these variables in isolation, this research uniquely integrates them to reveal the intricate, dynamic interdependencies that drive enterprise success. By uncovering how strategic choices in competition, financial structuring, and governance contribute to performance outcomes, this study not only advances theoretical understanding but also offers actionable insights for managers. The findings provide practical guidance for enhancing competitive advantage and promoting sustainable growth, making significant contributions to the literature on strategic management and corporate governance in the context of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, The impact of competitive strategy on enterprise performance: An empirical study of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises(2024-01-01) ;Feng, Qi ;Kot, Sebastian ;Chaveesuk, SinghaChaiyasoonthorn, WornchanokThis study investigates the relationships between competitive strategy, innovation, corporate governance structure, capital structure, human capital, and enterprise performance in small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises (SMEs). The research is based on the Competition Theory. The survey research design includes 506 valid responses from SMEs in China. Structural equation modelling was employed to analyze the responses. It revealed that competitive strategy positively impacts performance, with innovation and human capital as key mediators. Corporate governance and capital structure also mediate these relationships, supporting various strategic management theories. Additionally, the environment moderates the impact of competitive strategy on performance, highlighting the need for adaptability in dynamic markets. These findings offer theoretical substantiations and practical insights for enhancing SME performance through strategic planning. Future research should employ longitudinal approaches and integrate objective data to explore these dynamics further. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Competitive strategies, innovation, and firm performance in small and medium-sized enterprises of manufacturing in China(2021-01-01) ;Feng, Qi ;Chaiyasoonthorn, WornchanokChaveesuk, SinghaDevelopment in technology and globalization have forced manufacturing industries to upgrade on methods and material capital of production. The traditional production in China's SME manufacturing industries is faces great competition and cost pressure when facing the global market competition. Innovation allows manufacturing industries to establish good competitive strategies, which make the enterprise performance long-term development. Using competitive strategies and innovation can improve the quality of life and bring professional and economic benefits to individuals and enterprises. The research will generate a conceptual framework to focus on the influence of competitive strategies and innovation on the performance, to enhance and inspire the better performance of SMEs.
