Item type:Publication, Ballet Gesture Recognition and Evaluation System (Posé Ballet): System Thinking, Design Thinking, and Dynamic Improvement in Three Versions from Laboratory to Art Gallery(2024-01-01) ;Limmanee, ApirathSayyot, PeeraphonThis paper elaborates the design and implementation of “Posé Ballet,” the ballet gesture recognition and evaluation system using MS Kinect camera. “Posé Ballet” has gone through continual development which can be divided into three phases according to requirements from three different user groups. These three groups are ballet students, ballet teachers and dancers, as well as beginners and laypersons. After the technical side of the system is explained, we describe our “design thinking” concepts. With these concepts, our new and improved third-version software as well as GUI are developed to serve the visitors at Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC). At the end, some results and feedback are collected. These give us insight on how to improve our system further toward the goal of being standardized or commercialized. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, Ballet Gesture Recognition and Evaluation System (Posé Ballet): Dynamic Improvement from Laboratory to Art Gallery(2023-01-01) ;Limmanee, ApirathMano, PitsiniThis paper elaborates the continual development of “Posé Ballet,” our ballet gesture recognition and evaluation system using MS Kinect camera. After the technical side of the system is explained, we describe our “design thinking” concepts. With these concepts, our new and improved third-version software as well as GUI are developed to serve the visitors at Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC). We also mention previous versions of hardware, software, and GUI such that readers get a sense of how the system is continually developed and transformed in accordance with requirements from specific user groups. At the end, some results and feedback are collected. These give us insight on how to improve our system further toward the goal of being standardized or commercialized. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Scenario Analysis of Key Entropy Loss from Improper Quantization Decision in Wireless Physical-Layer Security(2022-01-01)Limmanee, ApirathIn wireless physical-layer security, it is usually suggested in literature that eavesdroppers need to locate themselves near legitimate transmitters or receivers if they want to steal some secret key information. By means of scenario analysis, this paper shows that if the eavesdropper knows the channel statistics better than the legitimate stations, e.g., know the K-factor estimates of Rician fading channel, they can exploit these knowledges to derive some secret key information. We define a concept called 'improper quantization decision loss (IIDL)' as the entropy loss in the generated key that can be obtained by the eavesdropper. We show step-by-step how the eavesdropper can obtain such information. We also propose a mathematical expression and numerical value of IIDL based on empirical values of channel parameters available in literature. If the legitimate parties are aware of this approximated IIDL, they will be able to design suitable privacy amplification scheme for preventing key information loss. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Improper Quantization Decision and Key Entropy Loss in Wireless Physical-Layer Security with False Channel Statistics Knowledge(2022-01-01)Limmanee, ApirathWireless physical-layer security is recently proposed for several types of cutting-edge networks, such as 5G and 6G. In wireless physical-layer security, it is usually suggested in literature that eavesdroppers need to locate themselves near legitimate transmitters or receivers if they want to steal some secret key information. By means of scenario analysis, this paper shows that if the eavesdropper knows the channel statistics better than the legitimate stations, e.g., know the K-factor estimates of Rician fading channel, they can exploit these knowledges to derive some secret key information. We define a concept called 'improper quantization decision loss k' as the entropy loss in the generated key that can be obtained by the eavesdropper. We show step-by-step how the eavesdropper can obtain such information. We also propose mathematical expressions of n and derive some results based on empirical values of channel parameters available in literature. From our analytical result for an urban area case, the loss is as large as almost 4/5 of key information, thus requiring a privacy amplification process that yields about 1/5 of the original key length. With our new concept, the new upper and lower bounds of vulnerable key bits are derived. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Perception-Driven Ballet Gesture Recognition and Evaluation System Using Kinect(2021-01-01) ;Limmanee, ApirathBuranasuk, SongphonThis paper shows the design and implementation of ballet gesture recognition and evaluation system with the Kinect camera. Similar research has been carried out in laboratory, but the real impact in dance community is still lacking. We therefore emphasize on the analysis regarding how different types of possible users perceive ballet dancing and let their perceptions shape our software design. This results in two computer programs designed for two specific user groups. The gesture recognition and evaluation used in both programs are customizable, sharing the same general framework proposed in this paper. Experimental steps for testing as well as improving the gesture recognition and evaluation are proposed together with preliminary result.
