Item type:Publication, Luminescence and physical properties of Ce3+-doped potassium gadolinium phosphate glasses for radiation detector application(2021-08-01) ;Yodkantee, D. ;Prasatkhetragarn, A. ;Chanthima, N. ;Tariwong, Y.Kothan, S.This work aimed to study the effect of Gd<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf> and CeF<inf>3</inf> modified on potassium gadolinium phosphate glasses scintillators in 17K<inf>2</inf>O: xGd<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf>: (82.5-x)P<inf>2</inf>O<inf>5</inf>: 0.5CeF<inf>3</inf> (where x = 9, 11, 13, 15 and 17 mol%) and 17K<inf>2</inf>O: 17Gd<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf>: (66-x)P<inf>2</inf>O<inf>5</inf>: xCeF<inf>3</inf> (where x = 0.1, 0.3, 1, 1.5, 2, 3 and 5 mol%) systems produced by the melt quenching technique. The physical, optical, and scintillation properties of the specimens were measured and discussed. The density and molar volume of the glasses trend to increases with increasing Gd<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf> concentration, while an invariable for all CeF<inf>3</inf> concentration. The photoluminescence and x-ray luminescence spectrums show the highest value at 9 and 17 mol% of Gd<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf> concentration, respectively, which shows the decay time between 15.02 and 22.84 ns. XANES results shows the main oxidation state of Ce is 3+ ion for all glasses. However, the photoluminescence and x-ray luminescence spectrums show the maximum value at 5 mol% of CeF<inf>3</inf> concentration, which shows the fast decay time between 16.26 and 36.02 ns. These results of the x-ray induced luminescence and the fast decay time in nanoseconds level are possible applied as well as the scintillation materials for radiation detector application. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Effect of Soaking Time and Sb2O3 Concentration on Number of Bubble and Optical Properties of Borosilicate Glasses(2021-01-01) ;Singkiburin, N. ;Srisittipokakun, N. ;Sangsawat, Y. ;Boonpa, W.Kim, H. J.Borosilicate glasses were fabricated with antimony oxide (Sb<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf>)-doped in the formula of SiO<inf>2</inf>-B<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf>-Na<inf>2</inf>O-CaO-ZnO, by using the melt-quenching method at 1200 °C which various soaking time of 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 h. The results show that the density, molar volume and refractive index of glasses increased with increasing of Sb<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf> concentration. However, the density of glasses decreases with increasing soaking time. The transmittance spectra present the absorption around 1050 nm and 450 nm which corresponds to Fe2+ ion and Fe3+ ion, respectively. This absorption strength decreases with increasing Sb<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf> concentration which shows the highest strength at 0.0 mol% of Sb<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf> content. Moreover, the decrease in the number of bubbles in the glass is dependent on the increase of the Sb<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf> concentration and soaking time. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Ferroelectric and ferromagnetic properties of K-doped 0.7BiFeO 3-0.3BaTiO3 multiferroic ceramics(2013-01-01) ;Prasatkhetragarn, A. ;Jantaratana, P.; ;Yotburut, B.Yimnirun, R.Lead-free and multiferroic 0.7BiFeO<inf>3-</inf>0.3BaTiO<inf>3</inf> ceramics doped with K (0.5, 1.0, 3.0 and 5.0 mol%) have been successfully prepared by a solid state mechanical milling technique. The single phase perovskite was found at calcination temperature of 900?C for 6 h. The effects of K doping on the crystal structure, microstructure, magnetic and electrical properties of lead-free 0.7BiFeO<inf>3-</inf>0.3BaTiO<inf>3</inf> ceramics were investigated and discussed. The fracture micrographs of specimens elucidate the grain growth behavior with increasing K content up to 3.0 mol%. The weak ferromagnetic and ferroelectric properties were observed in rhombohedrally- distorted 0.7BiFeO<inf>3-</inf>0.3BaTiO<inf>3</inf> perovskite ceramic. However, the addition of K into 0.7BiFeO<inf>3-</inf>0.3BaTiO<inf>3</inf> has been found to improve the ferroelectric and ferromagnetic properties, with the optimized properties obtained at 3.0 mol% content of K. Item type:Publication, Fabrication and electrical properties of Pb(Co1/3Nb2/3)O3 ceramics(2009-01-01) ;Unruan, M.; ;Wongmaneerung, R. ;Prasatkhetragarn, A.Ananta, S.Pb(Co<inf>1/3</inf>Nb<inf>2/3</inf>)O<inf>3</inf> (PCN) ceramics have been produced by sintering PCN powders synthesized from lead oxide (PbO) and cobalt niobate (CoNb<inf>2</inf>O<inf>6</inf>) with an effective method developed for minimizing the level of PbO loss during sintering. Attention has been focused on relationships between sintering conditions, phase formation, density, microstructural development, dielectric and ferroelectric properties of the sintered ceramics. From X-ray diffraction analysis, the optimum sintering temperature for the high purity PCN phase was found at approximately 1050 and 1100 °C. The densities of sintered PCN ceramics increased with increasing sintering temperature. However, it is also observed that at very high temperature the density began to decrease. PCN ceramic sintered at 1050 °C has small grain size with variation in grain shape. There is insignificant change of dielectric properties with sintering temperature. The P-E hysteresis loops observed at -70 °C are of slim-loop type with small remanent polarization values, which confirmed relaxor ferroelectric behavior of PCN ceramics. © 2008 Elsevier Ltd and Techna Group S.r.l.
