Item type:Publication, Radioluminescence properties of silicate-phosphate glass system based on “Huta Ginjang” quartz sand co-doped with Gd3+/Tb3+ ions for scintillation applications(2026-11-01) ;Rajagukguk, J. ;Hutahaean, Juniar ;Situmorang, Howard ;Sarumaha, C. S.Simanullang, E.A series of mixed silicate-phosphate glasses co-doped with Gd3+/Tb3+ ions at varying Tb concentrations were successfully synthesized using the melt-quenching technique. Their physical, optical and luminescence properties were analyzed, with an emphasis on the role of Tb3+ concentration. The photoluminescence (PL) spectra exhibit characteristic emission bands corresponding to Gd3+ and Tb3+ ions. A gradual decrease in the Gd3+ emission intensity at 311 nm is observed, accompanied by the suppression of Tb3+ emissions originating from the 5D<inf>3</inf> level. In contrast, a significant enhancement of the green emission associated with the Tb3+5D<inf>4</inf> → 7F<inf>j</inf> transitions is clearly evident. Under X-ray excitation, the radioluminescence (RL) spectra of the glasses displayed multiple sharp emission peaks corresponding to Tb3+ transitions, in contrast to the broad 478 nm emission band of the BGO crystal. Integral RL intensity ratios were demonstrated; all glasses exhibit significant radioluminescence intensity under X-Ray excitation compared to BGO, with QSPCaBaGd<inf>5</inf>Tb<inf>2.0</inf> showing the highest performance reaches up to 52.09% in the 350-800 nm range. These results, together with X-ray imaging capability, demonstrate that the developed glasses are promising candidates for cost-effective scintillation applications. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, White Emission from Dy3+ Doped in ZnO–CaO–B2O3 for WLEDs Material Application(2022-01-01) ;Chaemlek, O. ;Kiwsakunkran, N. ;Boonpa, W. ;Wantana, N.Sareein, T.The Dy3+ ions doped CaO-ZnO-B<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf> glasses were synthesis by the melt quenching technique with various Dy<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf> concentrations to investigation physical and optical properties. The results showed that the density and the molar volume trend to be increased along with increased Dy3+ concentration. The absorption spectra showed characteristic absorption peaks in the visible and near infrared regions. Judd–Ofelt (JO) intensity parameters have been obtained from the optical absorption spectra. The emission spectra of the glasses are illustrated the highest emission intensity at 574 nm wavelength, which corresponding to Dy3+ transition 4F<inf>9/2</inf>→6H<inf>13/2</inf> level. The decay time value decreased as the concentration of Dy<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf> increased. The CIE 1931 chromaticity investigation showed that Dy3+ doped glasses emitted light with white color. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Effect of Soaking Time and Sb2O3 Concentration on Number of Bubble and Optical Properties of Borosilicate Glasses(2021-01-01) ;Singkiburin, N. ;Srisittipokakun, N. ;Sangsawat, Y. ;Boonpa, W.Kim, H. J.Borosilicate glasses were fabricated with antimony oxide (Sb<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf>)-doped in the formula of SiO<inf>2</inf>-B<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf>-Na<inf>2</inf>O-CaO-ZnO, by using the melt-quenching method at 1200 °C which various soaking time of 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 h. The results show that the density, molar volume and refractive index of glasses increased with increasing of Sb<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf> concentration. However, the density of glasses decreases with increasing soaking time. The transmittance spectra present the absorption around 1050 nm and 450 nm which corresponds to Fe2+ ion and Fe3+ ion, respectively. This absorption strength decreases with increasing Sb<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf> concentration which shows the highest strength at 0.0 mol% of Sb<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf> content. Moreover, the decrease in the number of bubbles in the glass is dependent on the increase of the Sb<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf> concentration and soaking time.
