Item type:Publication, DYEING OF SILK YARN WITH NATURAL DYE FROM TEAK LEAVES(2024-01-01) ;Roengthanapiboon, Natthatida ;Sindhuphak, ApisakEgwutvongsa, SongwutObjective: This study investigated the impacts of using teak leaf-derived natural dye for dyeing silk yarn. Theoretical Framework: This research uses a conceptual framework for the development of natural fibers for application in textile production. By testing the properties of dyed fibers obtained from teak trees cultivated in Thailand. which tests the properties of the fibers and the adhesion of colors obtained from teak trees. Method: This research explored two mordanting methods (pre-mordanting and post-mordanting) across varying conditions. The study documented the ideal parameters for dyeing, as well as color values, color strength, and fastness properties of the silk yarn. Results and Discussion: by dyeing at 90°C for 60 minutes with a pH of 3. Silk yarn treated with a mixture of teak leaf extract and a mordant substance displayed a yellowish-brown color, except when dyed with ferrous sulfate, which produced a dark gray-brown shade. The silk yarn exhibited fair color fastness when subjected to washing and perspiration, while its resistance to light was rated as poor–moderate. On the other hand, the results in terms of rubbing and water fastness showed a good to very good level. Research Implications: The fibers obtained from the research process have the properties of fibers and color adhesion on the yarn that are highly resistant to washing. Moreover, dyed yarn is beautiful and durable. Item type:Publication, Sustainable Development: Development of Wisdom for Dyeing Natural Fibers Used to Create Community Textile Products(2024-01-01) ;Roengthanapiboon, Natthatida ;Sindhuphak, Apisak ;Kijmongkolvanich, SirisyosEgwutvongsa, SongwutThe objectives of this research were: (1) to examine the factors influencing the natural dyeing process using teak leaves, and (2) to evaluate consumer satisfaction with textiles dyed using this technique. A structured questionnaire was employed as the research instrument, focusing on the characteristics of environmentally friendly textile products. Utilizing Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), the study identified 28 variables affecting the natural dyeing process from teak leaves, and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) established separate discriminant validity data. Four key factors were identified: (1) Policy and Natural Materials, (2) Knowledge of Local Materials, (3) Wisdom/Skills, and (4) Textile Products. All factors met the standard criteria for fit indices, with values of χ2 = 11.164, df = 15, relative χ2 =.744, p =.741, GFI =.991, AGFI =.956, NFI =.994, TLI = 1.009, CFI = 1.000, RMSEA =.000, and RMR =.020, allowing for the evaluation of new textile product prototypes through Multiple Regression Analysis. The study found that these four independent variables collectively explained 86.0% of consumer satisfaction, as indicated by the standardized regression equation =.434(X1) +.325(X2) +.292(X3). The findings highlight the potential of using local materials to enhance environmental sustainability, generate community income, and preserve traditional wisdom in Thailand. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, M-learning for the art of drawing: Informal learning for a digital age(2018-01-01) ;Yuktirat, Chananchida ;Sindhuphak, ApisakKiddee, KrissanaMobile learning (M-learning) has become part of a rich mix of new features and facilities in the teaching and learning process, and with the advent and proliferation of the smartphone, M-learning is reaching new heights. In the art world, M-learning is also being explored, and as students can be connected to their teacher from anywhere in the world, there is no longer the need for a physical studio to learn the magic of art. The researchers therefore set out to create a course using digital technologies for teaching the Art of Drawing online. Initially, the researchers made use of the Delphi method to query a panel of 19 experts in the fields of art education, educational technologists and artists to gather their input for an online, M-Learning course model. After which, 248 Facebook members belonging to the 'Society of the Professional Art Teachers Development of Thailand' were selected by use stratified random sampling. From these members, 201 opted to participate in a 2-month M-learning course concerned with the Art of Drawing. Results revealed that both the experts and the course students found the use of digital tools such as the iPad, tablet, and smartphone as very appropriate in learning the Art of Drawing. The same was true for the applications as well.
