Radiative cooling via micro-patterned surfaces provides energy-efficient solution for thermal regulation by enhancing selective thermal emission within the atmospheric transparency window (8–13 μm). This study investigates the effects of microstructural patterning through a low-cost and scalable stamping technique. The patterning templates were uniquely produced by the removal of randomly-distributed CaCO<inf>3</inf> polymorphs—calcite and vaterite with specific sizes. The novel calcite-imprinted structures exhibit superior mid-infrared emissivity (>0.96) and maintain consistent temperature reduction across varying weather conditions, outperforming vaterite-based films. However, the cooling performance of unmodified patterns is limited by solar absorption. To address this, TiO<inf>2</inf> (rutile phase) is incorporated into a polymer matrix before being stamped to enhance solar reflectivity. Moreover, hydrophobic aerogels could be inserted between micropattern gaps to facilitate self-cleaning functionality. A composite film containing 3 wt% TiO<inf>2</inf> with the calcite micro-patterning and hydrophobic aerogel achieves a temperature drop of 4.8 °C, compared to 1.2 °C of pristine patterns relative to that of a clear film. For real-world applicability, the optimized patterning strategies were further validated on fiber cement rooftile surfaces, yielding best temperature reductions of 2.5 °C compared to pattern-free coating under a tropical climate. The calculated net cooling power of 3 wt% TiO<inf>2</inf> patterned film with aerogel is 26.9 W/m2. This novel passive-cooling stamping strategy is low-cost, scalable, and suitable for large-area deployment, reducing the energy burden of active cooling technologies.

Catalytic performance of beta zeolites derived from bagasse fly ash for methanol dehydration to dimethyl ether, alternative fuel, was investigated. Amorphous silica extracted from bagasse fly ash, a tetraethylammonium hydroxide (TEAOH) were used as a precursor and a template for synthesis of beta-zeolites, respectively. Beta zeolites could be synthesized at a constant hydrothermal temperature of 135°C and a constant initial pressure of 3 bars under the nitrogen atmosphere. The crystallization time and Si/Al ratio were 48 h and 15, respectively. These conditions gave the highest crystallinity for beta zeolites with a crystal size of 0.51 μm as well as a Brunauer–Emmett–Teller surface area of 844 m2 g−1. Beta zeolites with the Si/Al ratios of 15.8 and 24.6 were used as catalysts for methanol conversion to dimethyl ether. Beta zeolites with the Si/Al ratios of 15.8 and 24.6 have the % yields of 84 and 60, respectively. According to the result of NH<inf>3</inf>-TPD, the beta zeolites with the Si/Al ratio of 15.8 showed higher acidity than beta zeolites with a Si/Al ratio of 24.6. Therefore, the beta zeolites with a Si/Al ratio of 15.8 were more efficiency in methanol conversion reaction than beta zeolites with a Si/Al ratio of 24.6.

Nowadays, human realize to the environment pollution cause from old engine and use the engine misapply. These engines will cause the problem such as air pollution and cannot use the engine to work at the maximum efficiency and fuel consumption. The new of control technologies can solve problems from misuse engine by an electronic control unit work with many sensors. Optimization of electronic control unit (ECU) makes an engine to work in maximum efficiency and decrease the environment pollution. In this research, Port-fuel injection spark ignition engine (PFI Engine) fuelled with gasoline is use as the boat engine. To use car engine as boat engine, the control system has to be modify and tune up for proper condition. For the method, the parameters that used to control and optimization are the boat's running condition to tune up injection timing, injection duration, ignition timing, and also the engine special function. And this paper aim to investigate and improve performance, efficiency and emission of misapply engine. After that we plan to do research on each part of the system that makes the engine run with alternative energy such as gasohol (E10 to E85) to reduce the emission of greenhouse gas and environment pollution.

We propose a new techniques system of sufficiency energy using solar cell created direct current (DC) and inverter system convert to alternative current (AC) for upon normal electric system. Simplify by a system consists of three phase and three inverter circuit for support electric system in office. Results of experimentally obtained have shown the potential of using such a save power electricity ∼10% of normal electricity system. These properties make it very appropriate for routine monitoring of emitter region, including in-line process control. In near future we can the investment for solar energy is very economic in long term combination energy system 1 Mwatt.

We propose a new concept of hydrogen generator testing for on-site small engine. In general, there is a trade-off between simpler vehicle design and infrastructure issues, for instance, liquid fuels such as gasoline and methanol for small engine use. In this article we compare the hydrogen gases combination the gasoline between normal systems (gasoline only) for small engine. The advantage of the hydrogen combines gasoline for small engine saving the gasoline 25 %. Furthermore, the new concept of hydrogen combination for diesel engine, bio-diesel engine, liquid petroleum gas (LPG), natural gas vehicle (NGV), which is discussed in details. © 2009 Elsevier B.V. This paper summarises the overview of the current situation of alternative energies in Thailand. The utilisation of bio-diesel as an alternative energy in two economic sectors (i.e. transport and industrial sectors), which have the largest energy consumption in the country, is mainly presented because it has seemed to be the most promising project among various energy conservation projects of the Thai government. Actually, there is another bio-fuel project, namely, the ethanol project for blending with gasoline to produce gasohol (E10) used in gasoline engines, which has been developed and already become to an important policy for energy conservation of the country. Due to much more large number of diesel has been utilised, the bio-diesel project has been the first priority one to solve the petroleum crisis problems. However, it is remarked that the utilisation of bio-diesel as an alternative fuel seems to be unsatisfactory because of various reasons. Some issues in terms of both government policies and technical problems have not been clearly addressed. Therefore, this paper not only presents the utilisation of bio-diesel in these two sectors but also discusses the production processes, characterisations and some experimental testing results of bio-diesel. © 2007 American Institute of Physics.
