Item type:Publication, Temperature effect on refractometric double ring resonator(2015-01-01) ;Mohamad, Azam ;Aziz, M. S. ;Bahadoran, Mahdi ;Chaudary, KashifArif Jalil, M.The effect of temperature on double ring resonator (DRR) glucose sensing is investigate theoretically and proposed. Different from other optical resonator, the pulse laser is used as an input source and the vertical DRR configuration is used. The concept for pulse propagation is based on the split-step Fourier method. Result shows that the detection of glucose is measured by optical losses and the losses at 26°C are 1.86 dB at through and 0.93 dB at drop port, respectively. The performance of glucose sensing on DRR is degraded by temperature. Effect of temperature creates more losses which results total loss of 2.01 dB at through and 1 dB at drop port when temperature increase by 1°C. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Effect temperature in chemical sensing using triple stage microring resonator(2015-01-01) ;Mohamad, Azam ;Bahadoran, Mahdi ;Aziz, Safwan ;Chaudary, KashifJalil, Muhammad ArifThe split-step Fourier technique is used to study the effect of temperature in triple stage microring resonating sensor (TSMRRS). The optical bright soliton beam is used as the probe pulse into the TSMRRS and the effect of temperature variations on various concentrations of glucose in deionize water is investigated. The detection of glucose is measured by intensity variations of output signals from through and drop ports of TSMRRS. The temperature variations cause an exact intensity reduction of glucose concentration in deionize water when the temperature increased by 1 °C. The performance of TSMRRS glucose sensor is improved for temperature range similar with standard room temperature which shows that TSMRRS is suitable candidate for chemical sensing application. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Single electron-hole pair generation using dark-bright solitons conversion control(2011-11-11) ;Jomtarak, R. ;Teeka, C. ;Yupapin, P. P.Ali, J.In this paper, we present the new concept of single electron-hole pair generation by using dark-bright solitons conversion control based on microring resonator coupled to one arm MZI. By using some suitable parameters and found that the single electron-hole pair are seen, therefore, the single electron-hole pair generate can be storage and controll within the design system. © 2011 American Institute of Physics. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, A new concept of multi electron-hole pair generation using dark-bright soliton conversion control(2011-08-08) ;Punthawanunt, S. ;Teeka, C. ;Jomtarak, R. ;Mitatha, S.Ali, J.In this paper, we have derived and presented a new concept of multi electron-hole pair generation by using dark-bright soliton collision within the modified add/drop filter, which it is known as PANDA ring resonator. By using the dark-bright soliton conversion control, the obtained outputs of the dynamic states can be used to form the multi electron-hole pair, which can be available for communication security application. © 2011 American Institute of Physics. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Simulation of soliton amplification in micro ring resonator for optical communication(2011-01-01) ;Afroozeh, A. ;Amiri, I. S. ;Bahadoran, M. ;Ali, J.Yupapin, P. P.A system consisting of a series of micro ring resonator (MRR) is proposed. Optical dark and bright soliton pulses propagating through the nonlinear waveguides are amplified. This system can be used in long distance communication system. The dark and bright soliton is input into the designed system. The nonlinear effect contributes to segregation of continuous soliton pulse into smaller pulses. In this way large bandwidth of optical signals can be obtained. The power amplification occurs when the soliton propagates along the MRRs systems. In this research the concern is the generation of amplified pulse of optical dark and bright soliton while propagating in the MRR device. Simulated results show the amplification of bright soliton in which the input power increases from 0.6 W to 10.9331 W and 7.684 W at the trapped wavelength of 1520.428 nm and 1519.912 nm respectively. © Penerbit UTM Press, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
