    Design and Simulation of Galvanically Isolated Quasi-Z-Source DC-DC Converter with a Novel ZVS Technique
    (2025-01-01)
    Hiransing, Bancha
    ;
    This paper focuses on design and simulation of the galvanically isolated quasi-z-source dc-dc converter with a novel zero voltage switching technique and its control method for implementing power conversion. This system applies to interface renewable energy to the dc-microgrids. The quasi-zsource converter overcomes the conceptual and theoretical barriers and limitations of the traditional voltage-source converter. This system consists of quasi-Z-source network, dcdc converter, full-bridge converter with high frequency transformer and voltage double rectifier. To describe the operating principle and control. The simulation results obtained from the MATLAB Simulink program have confirmed the proposed circuit.

    A three-output three-level ZVS resonant inverter using PSPWM with power factor correction
    (2016-01-05)
    Meesrisuk, Watanyu
    ;
    This research paper introduces a three-output three-level resonant inverter by using phase-shifted pulse-width modulation (PSPWM) technique for controlling all switches and simple power factor correction (PFC) technique for improving the power factor to be near unity. The proposed circuit can provide three outputs simultaneously. In addition, all switches can operate under the zero-voltage switching (ZVS) condition and also low stress voltage. In order to prove the possibility of proposed concept, this circuit was simulated by MATLAB/Simulink software at 220 V of ac input voltage, 3.3 kW of total rated power and 50 kHz of switching frequency. The maximum efficiency is 93.0%.

    A series-resonant half-bridge inverter for induction-iron appliances
    (2011-12-01)
    Sanajit, N.
    ;
    This paper presents a series-resonant half-bridge inverter for induction iron appliances. The series-resonant inverter is implemented to provide Zero Current Switching (ZCS) for all the switches at turn off conditions and Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) at diode turn on. The main features of the proposed inverter are simple PWM control strategy and high efficiency. The operation mode of the inverter will be evaluated corresponding to the duty cycle of the switch. The experimental results verify the advantages of the proposed topology. © 2011 IEEE.

    This paper proposes an analysis of transition mode from phase-shift to zero phase-shift under ZVS and NON-ZVS operations for a series resonant inverter with the load of induction heating. A number of circuit operations during transition mode from phase-shift to zero phase-shift under ZVS and NON-ZVS conditions are first analyzed. Various voltage and current equations of the operating circuits are then obtained and used for calculation of the waveforms by the aid of MATLAB program. The calculated waveforms make possible the consideration of some important circuit parameters that are used to determine ZVS or NON-ZVS conditions. The theoretical results and proposed method are also verified by experimental ones, using a prototype test set in our laboratory. © 2008 The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.

    This paper presents a detailed analysis of circuit operation under ZVS and NON-ZVS switching conditions in a high-frequency full-bridge inverter for induction heating, using the principle of asymmetrical phase-shift control over a wide control range both in positive and negative directions. A variety of modes of circuit operation with the voltage and current equations during phase-shift power control under the operating conditions of ZVS and NON-ZVS are analyzed as a first step and the output voltage and current waveforms are obtained by MATLAB program. These waveforms will be analyzed by Fourier analysis which can lead further to the calculation of ac output power P<inf>o</inf>, dc input power P<inf>d</inf>, and hence the conversion efficiency η of the full-bridge inverter. The analysis results shows that the control ranges of ac output power P<inf>o</inf> and dc input power P<inf>d</inf> are limited by the occurrence of NON-ZVS operating condition, which changes according to the switching frequency f<inf>s</inf>. © 2007 IEEE.

    This paper presents a detailed analysis of circuit operation under ZVS and NON-ZVS conditions in a high-frequency half-bridge inverter for a small-size and low-voltage induction cooker, using the principle of positivenegative phase-shift control over a wide control range both in positive and negative directions. A variety of modes of circuit operation with the voltage and current equations during phase-shift power control under the operating conditions of ZVS and NON-ZVS are analyzed as a first step and the output voltage and current waveforms are obtained by MATLAB program. This paper presents a detailed analysis of circuit operation under ZVS and NON-ZVS conditions in a full-bridge high-frequency phase-shift control series resonant MOSFET inverter with the load of induction heating. Various modes of circuit operation both under ZVS and NON-ZVS conditions are first analyzed in details.
