This work presents a cascade control architecture to combat network induced delays in Wireless network controlled systems. Specifically a flow-level cascade control system is considered whereby the primary process variable is liquid level, and the secondary process variable is the flow rate. The flow-level process variables are measured by Wireless HART differential Pressure (DP) transmitter and sent through a WirelessHART gateway. Control actions are provided by a control valve actuator which is manipulated through a PLC. The PLC and the WirelessHART gateway are managed by an OPC server providing a medium of communication. The PID controller gains are designed through the LabView software, in which the network induced delays is offset by adjusting the controller interval until the responses are satisfactory. Results show that cascade control outperformed the single loop control, in both handling network induced delays and coping with disturbances.

This work presents a temperature control of industrial ovens using block FB58 'TCONT-CP' from the Siemens S7-300 PLC, which is evaluated by the OB35 interrupt. Two plants were considered. The first plant was a small industrial oven made of aluminum of size 1.5 cm × 5 cm and taking in 60 W of heat. The second plant was a large industry oven with a 0.125 m3 capacity, capable of exuding 1500 W of heat. Both experiments were controlled by the same Block Command and ovens were tested separately. The Cohen-Coon PID tuning method was firstly applied to both plants, with a separate controller values being obtained for each plant. These values were kept fixed throughout the experiments. A tailored approach was adopted whereby a pulse gen was used in conjunction with the PID control for the small plant; whereas a control zoning was used for the larger plant. Result show that the tailored approach yielded significant improvements in settling times compared to a conventional PID controller.

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of image processing by using artificially neural network to detect fire in the room by using camera. This uses features of flame images in a simulation fire as input elements, is considered. Flame images are taken from the dynamic image, and features of the images for the ANN application are extracted from a rectified image which considers the difference in distance from the CCD color to the fire source. © 2006 ICASE.

As Pure & Drinking water system is universally employed in Industrial,Reverse Osmosis System (ROS) has been becoming increasingly popular due to efficiency in Salt & Organic Rejection of it. However membrane system need regular cleaning. This paper present a new method for automation cleaning Reverse Osmosis System using Computer monitoring Process & analyze Trend of membrane performance & discuss enter to automation cleaning. The membrane performance consist of TDS, Water Flow, Pressure and Temperature. These variable analyzed for automation cleaning in order to maintain productivity and performance of RO System.
