Item type:Publication, Electronically Adjustable Multiphase Sinusoidal Oscillator with High-Output Impedance at Output Current Nodes Using VDCCs(2022-10-01) ;Pitaksuttayaprot, Koson ;Phanrattanachai, KritphonJaikla, WinaiThis paper presents the high-output-impedance current-mode multiphase sinusoidal oscillators (MSO) using voltage differencing current conveyor (VDCC)-based lossy integrators, which consist of one VDCC, one grounded capacitor, and two grounded resistors. The proposed oscillator can provide an odd-phase and even-phase system without the use of an additional amplifier. The frequency of oscillation (FO) is electronically tuned via the bias current without affecting the condition of oscillation (CO). The proposed oscillator is designed to obtain three-phase sinusoidal waveforms (n = 3). The effect of non-idealities of VDCC on the lossy integrator section is also investigated. The validity of the proposed circuit is demonstrated by PSPICE simulation using 0.18 µm TSMC CMOS process parameters with ±0.9V power supply. The frequency of oscillation obtained from the simulation is 1.43 MHz. The total harmonic distortions of the sinusoidal output currents I<inf>O1</inf>, I<inf>O2</inf>, and I<inf>O2</inf> are 1.22%, 1.18%, and 0.57%. The I<inf>O1</inf>–I<inf>O2</inf> and I<inf>O2</inf>–I<inf>O3</inf> phase differences are approximately 121 and 119 degrees, respectively. The feasibility of the proposed MSO is also verified with experimental results using the VDCC constructed from the commercially available ICs (LT1288 and AD844) with ±5 V power supply. The results of PSPICE simulations and experiments are closely consistent with the theoretical expectation. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Amplitude controllable current-mode first order allpass filter including minimum component count circuits(2015-10-09) ;Chaichana, Amornchai ;Kumngern, Montree ;Siripruchyanun, MontreeJaikla, WinaiThis paper presents a current-mode first order allpass filter based on current follower cascaded transconductance (CFCTA). The phase shifted angle and amplitude of output currents can be electronically and independently tuned via the bias current. The proposed circuit uses only one CFCTA and one grounded capacitor and one electronic resistor, which is definitely suitable to further develop into an integrated circuit. It can provide both non-inverting and inverting output currents. Moreover, the circuit possesses low input and high output impedance, providing easy cascading in current-mode circuit. The PSPICE simulation results based on 0.25μm TSMC CMOS parameters are included, verifying the key characteristics of the presented filter. The given results agree well with the theoretical presumptions. The power consumption is about 5.5mW. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Electronically tunable versatile current-mode MISO universal filter including minimum component count circuits(2014-01-01) ;Chaichana, Amornchai ;Kumngern, MontreeJaikla, WinaiAn analog second order current-mode filter is described in this paper. The proposed filter uses only a single active building block, namely current following cascaded transconductance amplifier with two grounded capacitors which is attractive for monolithic chip implementation. The circuit has four inputs and single output currents. Five standard functions, namely low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, band-reject and all-pass functions, are given. The natural pole frequency and quality factor can be tuned electronically via the input bias current. The inverting-type input current signal is not required for realization of all-pass function. High output impedance is achieved which is convenient to cascade in current-mode circuit. The PSPICE simulation results are depicted. The given results agree well with the theoretical anticipation. © 2014 IEEE. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, A MISO current-mode biquad filter using a minimum number of active and passive components(2012-12-01) ;Koomchaya, Atorn ;Suwanjan, Peerawut ;Jaikla, WinaiManeewan, SuwatThis paper presents the second-order current-mode filter with 4 input currents and single output current. Five filter responses, namely High-pass (HP), Low-pass (LP), Band-pass (BP), Band-reject (BR) and All-pass (AP) filters are achieved. The pole frequency and quality factor are tuned by input bias current called electronic control. It has high output impedance which is able cascading in the current-mode filter and driving load without buffering devices. The filter uses only single active element namely current controlled current differencing transconductance amplifier (CCCDTA) and 2 grounded capacitors which is ideal for monolithic integrated circuit implementation. The filter was proved by Pspice simulation using BJT technology. The results are agreed with theoretical prediction. © 2012 IEEE. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, A four-inputs single-output current-mode biquad filter using a minimum number of active and passive components(2012-10-05) ;Jaikla, Winai ;Lawanwisut, Supawat ;Siripruchyanun, MontreePrommee, PipatThis article presents a four-inputs single output biquadratic filter performing completely standard functions: low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, band-reject and all-pass functions, based on single current controlled current follower transconductance amplifier (CCCFTA). The features of the circuit are that; the quality factor and natural frequency can be tuned electronically via the input bias current; the circuit description is very simple, consisting of merely 1 CCCFTA and 2 grounded capacitors; the filter does not require inverting-type input current signal. Additionally, each function response can be selected by suitably selecting input signals with digital method. Using only single active element and grounded capacitors, the proposed circuit is very suitable to further develop into an integrated circuit. The PSPICE simulation results are depicted. The given results agree well with the theoretical anticipation. © 2012 IEEE.
