Item type:Publication, Proposed solar energy conversion and storage system using a nano-ring in an array waveguide(2010-11-01) ;Khunnam, W.Yupapin, P. P.We propose the new solar energy conversion and storage system using the array waveguide. It can be used to generate and store solar energy within the nano-array waveguide system. The system consists of micro- and nano-ring resonators incorporating a Mach Zhender Interferometer (MZI) that can be integrated into a single system. The large bandwidth signal, i.e. white light, is generated using a soliton pulse in a Kerr-type nonlinear medium propagating within a micro-ring resonator system. The control light concept is applied using a nano-waveguide incorporating an MZI, whereas the incoherent light is filtered being coherence, which is amplified and stored within the system. The white light can be re-generated using the stored coherent light pulse. Furthermore, the combination of signals is formed by the array waveguide, which is allowed to generate the huge amount of solar energy output. © 2009 Elsevier GmbH All rights reserved.1 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, The entangled photon re-generation and characterization in nonlinear fiber ring resonator incorporating an erbium-doped fiber(2008-05-15) ;Khunnam, W.Yupapin, P. P.A new scheme of the entangled photon states re-generation the dynamic simulation of light traveling in nonlinear fiber optic ring resonator incorporating an erbium-doped fiber (EDF) has been investigated. We have shown that the weak entangled photon states can be recovered after circulating in the amplified fiber optic medium. The output entangled photon states can be re-generated by adjusting the polarization controller of the amplified photons, where the re-generated entangled states can be controlled and performed. The ring-cavity lifetime is much longer than the Kerr-effect response time of the fiber ring. The results obtained have shown that this system can be used to achieve the recovered polarization entangled states with the obtained high gain. The amplifying noise has also been detected and seen on the spectrum output. This is affected to the entangled photon visibility, which is discussed.2 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Quantum key distribution via an optical wireless communication link for telephone networks(2007-10-01) ;Suchat, S. ;Khunnam, W.Yupapin, P. P.We propose a new system of quantum key distribution via optical wireless communication links, where the required information, especially telephone conversation, can be secured by using a quantum code/decode (CODEC) technique incorporated in the networks. The entangled photons can be encoded into the classical information and then the decoded signal can also be retrieved. The proposed system consists of quantum key generation and uplink and downlink parts that can be implemented in the mobile telephone handset and networks. Such a system and technique show the feasibility of use for a perfectly security telephone networks. © 2007 Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers.
