Item type:Publication, A Numerical Model of Groundwater Quality Assessment Using a Special A-D Cubic Spline Method(2025-01-01) ;Klankaew, PantiraNowadays, when the industrial sector and human habitation have expanded rapidly, causing more and more various pollutants to come out, water is considered one type of pollution that is contaminated by these community and industrial sources. When this toxic water seeps through the soil, it can contaminate groundwater sources. Groundwater contamination can affect the health of humans and other living things, both directly and indirectly. In some areas, groundwater contamination can cause the population to become sick with various diseases. Long-term groundwater quality investigations near landfill sites need the use of mathematical models. A one-dimensional advection-diffusion equation (ADE) was used to analyze the groundwater's quality by describing the amount of contamination present. The objectives are mathematical simulations that can be used to assess the quality of groundwater that becomes contaminated over a long period of time. This study proposes numerical simulations for a one-dimensional mathematical model for long-term measurement of groundwater pollution around landfills. The natural cubic spline method, the Crank-Nicolson method, the upwind explicit method, and the special A-D cubic spline method are approximated in the model solution. The exact and approximate solutions are compared in each case. The proposed upwind explicit method analysis provides close to exact and properly accurate solutions. In five to ten years, the proposed numerical model can simulate several scenarios.2 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, A Numerical Groundwater Quality Assessment Model Using the Cubic Spline Method(2024-01-01) ;Klankaew, PantiraHuman activities on the surface, including municipal garbage disposal, pesticide usage, and fertilizer use, can contaminate groundwater. Long-term groundwater quality investigations near landfill sites necessitate the use of mathematical models. Research on the environmental impacts of projects, including landfills, depends on the long-term expansion of groundwater quality. Analyzing the quality of groundwater employed an advection-diffusion equation (ADE) in one dimension to describe the quantity of pollution in the groundwater. In this research, numerical simulations for a one-dimensional mathematical model for a long-term contaminated groundwater pollution measurement around landfills are proposed. The finite difference and the natural cubic spline techniques are approximated by the model solution. In a given scenario, the approximate solutions are compared with the exact solutions. The proposed finite difference analysis provides close-to-exact and properly accurate solutions. Numerous varieties of soil physics can be used for the suggested numerical simulation. The simulations can be used to assess the quality of groundwater that becomes contaminated in the future. It is demonstrated that the cubic spline method yields acceptable approximations. It is an alternate finite difference technique. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Numerical simulation of a nonlinear thin fluid film flow velocity model of a third grade fluid on a moving belt using finite difference method with Newton iterative scheme(2019-01-01) ;Klankaew, PantiraA thin film flow problem on a moving belt has been useful in scientific, engineering, biological and biomedical problems. A thin film flow velocity on a moving belt can be modeled by a nonlinear differential equation. The model is provides the film flow velocity in each thickness layers. In this research, a finite difference method and a Newton iterative method are used to approximate the solutions of the nonlinear thin fluid film flow velocity model. Their numerical simulations of a thin film flow velocity of a third grade fluid in on a moving belt with varied physical parameters are investigated. The proposed numerical techniques give good agreement approximated solutions in several moving belts speed levels.
