A new single-element-controlled sinusoidal oscillator circuit that incorporates two second generation current conveyors (CCIIs), two grounded capacitors and two resistors is presented and analysed. The circuit is beneficial to monolithic integrated circuit implementation by the use of grounded capacitors. In addition, a new current-controlled sinusoidal oscillator using only two second generation current controlled conveyors (CCCIIs) and two grounded capacitors can be achieved by replacing CCIIs and resistors series at X terminals with CCCIIs. The oscillators provide extremely low passive 0 -sensitivities and good frequency stability. Moreover, the oscillation frequencies of the CCII-based and the CCCII-based oscillators can be controlled, respectively, by a grounded resistor and by an external bias current. Experimental and SPICE simulation results that confirm the theoretical predictions are given.

The implementation of full-wave rectifiers using operational transconductance amplifiers (OTAs) as only main active circuit elements is presented. The proposed scheme use the characteristic of the differential amplifier inside OTA and avoids the use of diode. The typical problems of the OTA circuit, the input voltage swing limitation and the temperature dependence of the OTA transconductance gain, have been improved. Simulation and experimental results demonstrate the performance of the proposed rectifier. © 2005 IEEE.

A simple and integrable temperature compensation scheme for translinear current conveyor-based circuits and OTA-based circuits is introduced. It uses a new bias circuit which has a current that is directly proportional to the absolute temperature, and can also be electronically varied. Performance of the scheme is confirmed through PSPICE simulation results.

A technique for implementing a differential voltage-to-current converter that is suitable for fabrication in CMOS technology is presented. The transconductance of the converter is determined by an external resistor. Very linear and accurate transconductance is obtained with a conversion error of 0-012% for an external resistance of 25 Ω. Simulation results are given to show the linearity and accuracy of the conversion circuit. The voltage-to-current converter is a versatile building block and can be applied as a current conveyor, a floating inductance, a floating negative impedance converter and an instrumentation amplifier. © 1994 Taylor & Francis Ltd.

A CMOS-based small signal current amplifier, which is constructed from two current-squaring circuits with improved dynamic range, is introduced. A circuit technique for realising an integrable electronically tunable current conveyor that is designed around the current amplifier is proposed. © 1992, The Institution of Electrical Engineers.
