Item type:Publication, Retinal image enhancement by indices of fuzziness(2008-12-01) ;Intajag, Sathit ;Laohasongkram, PhiphatChatree, PongtornEvaluation of a retinal image is widely employed to help doctors diagnose many diseases, such as diabetes or hypertension. From acquisition process, retinal images often have low grey level contrast and dynamic range. This paper proposes indices of fuzziness for solving the problems of retinal image enhancement. Histogram of the retinal image is stretched by estimating the optimal parameters of the indices of fuzziness in S-function, which is designed for contrasting a field of view in the images. Our algorithm can achieve a number of significant properties for contrast stretching, such as compressed the noise in background and produced a high contrast in a field of view or foreground that provides feasibility in diagnosis from a retinal image. © 2008 SICE. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Application of thermal detector by infrared for electrical arch furnaces transformer(2007-12-01) ;Laohasongkram, Phiphat ;Junsiri, JakkritOupayaso, JakkritInfrared thermo graphic detector for non-contact temperature measurement is used in this project. Infrared thermometers will give an accurate temperature measurement if the emissivity of the thermometer is adjusted to fit with the emissivity of the measured material. Therefore, to use the infrared to measure the temperature of Electrical Arch Furnaces (EAF) transformer at steel industry, the optimal emissivity of this thermometer must be determined. However the emissivity of the bus bars in the transformer at which the temperature is measured is unknown. Therefore this study is conducted to determine the optimal emissivity of the infrared thermometer to get the accurate temperature measurement. Its application the radiometric thermo graphic system VarioCAM head for control and monitoring of the steel industrial process is installed and this emissivity is set up. © ICROS. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Solving problem of gas turbine and hrsg trip from hydraulic damper closing in combined cycle power plant(2007-12-01) ;Laohasongkram, PhiphatLeeragreephol, SurachartThis paper addresses a technique to solve the problem of accumulated heat transfer in solenoid coil of the solenoid valve controlling hydraulic damper by using the switching technique with low frequency. This new method can result in saving the energy loss in solenoid coil. In addition, this technique aims to solve the fundamental problem by reducing direct heat transfer in solenoid coil of the solenoid valve and protecting complete gas turbine trip from the hydraulic damper closing failure and heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) trips from burnt solenoid coil of hydraulic damper. For this experiment and research, the data was collected from South Bangkok Combined Cycle Power Plant Block II. After using low frequency switching circuit technique the gas turbine trip as well as the HRSG trip did not happen. © ICROS. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
