Item type:Publication, Railway service planning system: Case study Thailand first high speed railway(2020-07-01) ;Lertwatechakul, Mayuree ;Anuwongpinit, Thanavit ;Thongkrairat, Somsin ;Vijittanasan, AlongkornDoungpan, SatawatThe railway service planning needs to take many factors into account in order to provide cost-effective services those meet the passenger transportation demands while maximizing the benefits. The task is a true challenge for service planners. The railway service planning system must be designed to cover the specific requirements of users that be able to calculate the cost of service operation and the revenue that is consistent with passenger volume. The results can be summarized in numerical and shown in the time graph. Thus, it could help visualize the overall factors and results to the user. Therefore, the user can adjust the service plan conveniently and effectively in a heuristic way. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Development of high-speed railway system teaching platform in Thailand(2020-07-01) ;Chutchavong, Vanvisa ;Anuwongpinit, Thanavit ;Thongkrairat, Somsin ;Vijittanasan, AlongkornPumee, ThanapoomComputer Assisted Instruction (CAI) is well-known as the most effective tool for interactive education and training. Such kind of tools is essential for learning and practicing in high-speed rail system that engages very complex technologies. In this paper, we propose designing and developing of a high-speed railway system teaching platform that can simulate major railway subsystems include train service planning, timetabling, train utilization, and train operation and control. The teaching platform will provide realistic and clear demonstrations of a high-speed railway system by using Thailand's first high-speed rail route. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Thai music emotion recognition by linear regression(2018-10-12) ;Sangnark, Soravitt ;Lertwatechakul, MayureeBenjangkaprasert, ChawalitMusic emotion recognition has rapidly grown in the present because the listener’s behavior is changing. Therefore, music emotion recognition helps to understand the emotion of music, listener, and support many careers in the music industry including general people. Many researchers have studied western music, but a few studied Thai music. In this work, we are interested to use 155 popular Thai music for explore emotion and use valence-arousal(energy) values from Spotify API to investigate the results. We select multiple linear regression (MLR) and support vector regression (SVR), kinds of ‘Linear’ function for valence-arousal values prediction. Experimental results demonstrate that the multiple linear regression provides highest accuracy (61.29%), precision (65%), recall (61%) and f-measure (60%) which is more than support vector regression. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, On development of train control and signaling simulation(2016-01-24) ;Samootrut, Puthita ;Lertwatechakul, Mayuree ;Tongkrairat, Somsin ;Anuwongpinit, ThanavitVijittanasan, AlongkonThe increasing of transportation demand in Thailand requires a lot of human resources to support the future railway system. Therefore, we have developed an in-house fixed-block train control simulation system to be used as a tool for helping learners to understand train control procedures. The train control simulation system combines of train model, signaling control hardware, and controlling and signaling simulation software. ROCO train models and switches are controlled by the z21 controller box which are in-turn commanded by controlling and signaling simulation software through Wi-Fi. The train control software gets train position from RFID reader that installed on train model to read RFID tags under the rail. The software can control train model movement respecting to the defined timetable. Leaner able to reserve a route, the software will check for the availability of tracks and switches throughout the route and then reserve and set the status of the corresponding switches to the correct positions in order to ensure the route safety. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Ultra-wideband slot antenna on flexible substrate for WLAN/WiMAX/UWB Applications(2014-01-01) ;Archevapanich, Tuanjai ;Lertwatechakul, Mayuree ;Rakluea, Paitoon ;Anantrasirichai, NoppinChutchavong, VanvisaAn ultra-wideband slot antenna on flexible substrate is designed to support a wide range of wireless communication systems. The antenna is a rectangular slot antenna fed by microstrip line with conductor strip and tuning stub on flexible substrate (Mylar Polyester film). The rectangular slot is etched out from the ground plane with conductor strip in the slot, and the other plane contains a microstrip line with tuning stub. The proposed antenna’s effective frequency range covers overall standard bands of WLAN, WiMAX, and UWB. The antenna was simulated and analyzed by using IE3D Zeland software [1]. And the simulation results presents the characteristics of the antenna in terms of bandwidth return loss, VSWR, and radiation patterns. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Multi-hop AODV-2T(2009-11-10) ;Somnuk, HarisavanLertwatechakul, MayureeCommunication in Ad Hoc wireless network may generally be uncertain because the established route could be broken anytime. The major cause of link failures in Ad hoc wireless network is the dynamic movement of the mobile nodes themselves and the other might be battery running out. AODV-2T [9] is an improved AODV designed to compromise this problems by applying a conservative and circumspect concept. By investigating received RF signal and the battery power, AODV-2T could overcome the problem by preparing a backup route just-in-time before link breaking. This makes it is able to switch packet transmission to the backup route without any delay with a bit of additive overhead. Although AODV-2T performs rather well compared to the early proposed protocols [4, 11, 12, 14, 19] in term of overhead and number of route break but AODV-2T is not capable to construct a multi-hop backup route. On the assumption that Multi-hop backup route establishment might be more flexible and gives more chance of success in Ad hoc route maintenance, so we have extended AODV-2T to support multi-hop backup route. The improved protocol called Multi-hop AODV-2T was implemented into a NS-2 model. We simulated Multi-hop AODV-2T function and compared its route maintenance mechanism's performance with AODV and AODV-2T. The results have shown that Multi-hop AODV can reduce number of route break and packet loss obviously. © 2009 IEEE. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, An improvement of ad hoc route maintenance(2008-12-01) ;Otakahn, AkkaphopLertwatechakul, MayureeAd Hoc wireless network consists of mobile nodes that do not rely on any fixed network infrastructure. The dynamic route is allocated for a pair of nodes by Ad Hoc on- demand routing protocol (AODV), that establishes a route only when a source node want to transmit data. Routes in Ad Hoc network can be broken caused by a node in the route may move out of their neighbor's signal range or node's battery may be ran out. Many algorithms have been developed to solve the problem [1],[6], one of them is break avoidance algorithm (AODV-BA [1]). However, using AODV-BA protocol, an upstream node of the broken link has to buffer packets during the route maintenance process. In case that the route maintenance is unsuccessful, the source node must re-establish a new route. In this paper, we propose AODV Backup Route Discovery with 2 Levels of Threshold (AODV-2T). The protocol tests for the power of its own battery power and its neighbors' RF signal. And it would cooperate with the neighbors to find a backup route as to fix the weak link problem where the first threshold is met. Consequently, if the power of signal or battery is fallen below the second threshold level, AODV-2T node could switch the data packet transmission to the new route without any delay. AODV- 2T can reduce connection tear-off that causes packets lost and more routing control overhead by 15-18 percent compared to the original AODV and AODV-BA. © 2008 IEEE. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
