Item type:Publication, Analysis of two continuous control regions of conventional phase shift and transition phase shift for induction heating inverter under ZVS and NON-ZVS operation(2008-12-04) ;Viriya, Pichetjamreon ;Yongyuth, NarasMatsuse, KoukiThis paper proposes an analysis of two continuous control regions of conventional phase shift and transition phase shift for a full-bridge series resonant inverter operating under zero voltage switching (ZVS) and nonzero voltage switching (NON-ZVS) conditions with the load of induction heating. A number of circuit operations for the cases of conventional phase-shift and transition phase-shift control regions under ZVS and NON-ZVS conditions are analyzed first. Various voltage and current equations of the operating circuits are then obtained and used for calculation of the waveforms with the aid of the MATLAB program. The calculated waveforms make possible the consideration of some important circuit parameters that are used to determine ZVS or NON-ZVS conditions. The theoretical results and the proposed method are also verified by experiments, using a prototype test set in our laboratory. © 2008 IEEE. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Analysis of circuit operation under ZVS and NON-ZVS conditions in phase-shift inverter for induction heating(2006-01-01) ;Viriya, Pichetjamroen ;Yongyuth, Naras ;Miki, IchiroMatsuse, KoukiThis paper presents a detailed analysis of circuit operation under ZVS and NON-ZVS conditions in a full-bridge high-frequency phase-shift control series resonant MOSFET inverter with the load of induction heating. Various modes of circuit operation both under ZVS and NON-ZVS conditions are first analyzed in details. The voltage and current equations of these circuits are then obtained and used for calculation of the waveforms by MATLAB program. The calculated results can lead to the consideration of various circuit parameters that determine ZVS or NON-ZVS operating conditions. The theoretical results are also verified by experimental ones, using a prototype test set rated at 3 kW. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Low-Harmonic GTO Converter for Fundamental Power Factor Compensation(1991-01-01) ;Viriya, PichetjamroenMatsuse, KoukiA low-harmonic GTO ac-to-dc converter with line current lead-lag phase-shift control ability is proposed and analyzed. The converter can be used either as a low-harmonic GTO-controlled rectifier or a fundamental input power factor compensator in a power supply system. The effect of PWM current pulse number on the harmonic contents and converter output voltage control range is investigated. Lower order input current harmonics are eliminated over a wide range, using a specially designed PWM current pattern. In addition, the effect of these PWM current pulse number on power factor compensation characteristic is also investigated. © 1991 IEEE - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, New PWM-Controlled GTO Converter(1987-01-01) ;Viriya, Pichetjamroen ;Kubota, HisaoMatsuse, KoukiA new pulsewidth modulation (PWM)-controlled GTO converter circuit is proposed. An auxiliary circuit capacitor is used to treat the commutating energy in the main circuit and to clamp the commutating impulse voltage at the desired level with the fundamental power factor of unity. An analysis of the circuit operation is verified experimentally. Copyright © 1987 by The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc.
