Item type:Publication, Single-Crystal-to-Single-Crystal Installation of Ln4(OH)4 Cubanes in an Anionic Metallosupramolecular Framework(2020-10-05) ;Yoshinari, Nobuto ;Meundaeng, Natthaya ;Tabe, Hiroyasu ;Yamada, YusukeYamashita, SatoshiPostsynthetic installation of lanthanide cubanes into a metallosupramolecular framework via a single-crystal-to-single-crystal (SCSC) transformation is presented. Soaking single crystals of K<inf>6</inf>[Rh<inf>4</inf>Zn<inf>4</inf>O(l-cys)<inf>12</inf>] (K<inf>6</inf>[1]; l-H<inf>2</inf>cys=l-cysteine) in a water/ethanol solution containing Ln(OAc)<inf>3</inf> (Ln3+=lanthanide ion) results in the exchange of K+ by Ln3+ with retention of the single crystallinity, producing Ln<inf>2</inf>[1] (2<inf>Ln</inf>) and Ln<inf>0.33</inf>[Ln<inf>4</inf>(OH)<inf>4</inf>(OAc)<inf>3</inf>(H<inf>2</inf>O)<inf>7</inf>][1] (3<inf>Ln</inf>) for early and late lanthanides, respectively. While the Ln3+ ions in 2<inf>Ln</inf> exist as disordered aqua species, those in 3<inf>Ln</inf> form ordered hydroxide-bridged cubane clusters that connect [1]6− anions in a 3D metal-organic framework through coordination bonds with carboxylate groups. This study shows the utility of an anionic metallosupramolecular framework with carboxylate groups for the creation of a series of metal cubanes that have great potential for various applications, such as magnetic materials and heterogeneous catalysts.1 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Hydrogen-bonded metallosupramolecular helices composed of a nona-protonated spherical Rh III 4 Zn II 4 cluster with twelve carboxylate arms(2020-04-28) ;Yamashita, Ukyo ;Yoshinari, Nobuto ;Sodkhomkhum, Rapheepraew ;Meundaeng, NatthayaKonno, TakumiTreatment of an octanuclear RhIII4ZnII4 cluster containing 12 free carboxylate groups, K<inf>6</inf>[Rh<inf>4</inf>Zn<inf>4</inf>O(l-cys)<inf>12</inf>] (K<inf>6</inf>[1], l-H<inf>2</inf>cys = l-cysteine), with inorganic acids (HX = HBr, H<inf>2</inf>SO<inf>4</inf>) produced ionic crystals of [H<inf>9</inf>1]X<inf>3</inf> composed of nona-protonated [H<inf>9</inf>1]3+ cations and X anions. The H-bonded metallosupramolecular helices in [H<inf>9</inf>1]X<inf>3</inf>, which showed proton conductivity and ammonia adsorption, were controlled by the employed inorganic anions. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Crystal structures and Hirshfeld surface analysis of transition-metal complexes of 1,3-azolecarboxylic acids(2019-09-01) ;Meundaeng, Natthaya ;Prior, Timothy JohnRujiwatra, ApinpusThe crystal structures of five new transition-metal complexes synthesized using thiazole-2-carboxylic acid (2-Htza), imidazole-2-carboxylic acid (2-H2ima) or 1,3-oxazole-4-carboxylic acid (4-Hoxa), namely diaquabis(thiazole-2-carboxylato-κ2 N,O)cobalt(II), [Co(C4H2NO2S)2(H2O)2], 1, diaquabis(thiazole-2-carboxylato-κ2 N,O)nickel(II), [Ni(C4H2NO2S)2(H2O)2], 2, diaquabis(thiazole-2-carboxylato-κ2 N,O)cadmium(II), [Cd(C4H2NO2S)2(H2O)2], 3, diaquabis(1H-imidazole-2-carboxylato-κ2 N 3,O)cobalt(II), [Co(C4H2N2O2)2(H2O)2], 4, and diaquabis(1,3-oxazole-4-carboxylato-κ2 N,O 4)cobalt(II), [Co(C4H2NO3)2(H2O)2], 5, are reported. The influence of the nature of the heteroatom and the position of the carboxyl group in relation to the heteroatom on the self-assembly process are discussed based upon Hirshfeld surface analysis and used to explain the observed differences in the single-crystal structures and the supramolecular frameworks and topologies of complexes 1-5. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Crystal structure of (1,3-thiazole-2-carboxylato-κ N)(1,3-thiazole-2-carboxylic acid-κ N)silver(I)(2019-01-01) ;Meundaeng, Natthaya ;Rujiwatra, ApinpusPrior, Timothy J.The linear two-coordinate silver (I) complex [Ag(C 4 H 2 NO 2 S)(C 4 H 3 NO 2 S)] or [Ag(2-Htza)(2-tza)] is reported (2-Htza = 1,3-thiazole-2-carboxylic acid). The Ag I ion is coordinated by two heterocyclic N atoms from two ligands in a linear configuration, forming a discrete coordination complex. There is an O - H⋯O hydrogen bond between 2-tza - and 2tzaH of adjacent complexes. The hydrogen atom is shared between the two oxygen atoms. This interaction produces a hydrogen-bonded tape parallel to the [110] direction, which is augmented through intermolecular C - H⋯O hydrogen-bonding interactions between the bound thiazole groups. There is a further rather long Ag⋯O interaction [2.8401 (13) Å, compared with a mean of 2.54 (11) Å for 23 structures in the CSD] that assembles these tapes into columns, between which there are C - H⋯π interactions, leading to the formation of a three-dimensional supramolecular architecture.
