Electronic throttle actuator is a nonlinear device which has various factors, such as delay time of backlash, gear friction, throttle valve friction and stiffness of spring, can affect to the responsiveness of vehicle control. The major impact on electronic throttle control is the return spring load. It can cause both overshoot and undershoot behaviors while the electronic throttle operates. This paper presents an overshoot/undershoot suppressor technique by using anti-windup algorithm with simple architecture to eliminate unwanted behaviors. In the experiment, a conventional PID controller and the proposed fuzzy-PI controller are used, and also implemented into microcontroller chip. In addition, this paper reveals a single phase driver circuit for hardware setup. The experiment results show that the controllers with proposed overshoot suppressor can perform effectively. The controller performance is evaluated by using standard criteria: an integral of square error (ISE), an integral of absolute error (IAE), a maximum overshoot (OVM) and a maximum settling time (STM).

Nowadays, human realize to the environment pollution cause from old engine and use the engine misapply. These engines will cause the problem such as air pollution and cannot use the engine to work at the maximum efficiency and fuel consumption. The new of control technologies can solve problems from misuse engine by an electronic control unit work with many sensors. Optimization of electronic control unit (ECU) makes an engine to work in maximum efficiency and decrease the environment pollution. In this research, Port-fuel injection spark ignition engine (PFI Engine) fuelled with gasoline is use as the boat engine. To use car engine as boat engine, the control system has to be modify and tune up for proper condition. For the method, the parameters that used to control and optimization are the boat's running condition to tune up injection timing, injection duration, ignition timing, and also the engine special function. And this paper aim to investigate and improve performance, efficiency and emission of misapply engine. After that we plan to do research on each part of the system that makes the engine run with alternative energy such as gasohol (E10 to E85) to reduce the emission of greenhouse gas and environment pollution.

High energy density LiFePO<inf>4</inf> battery plays an important role in the EV application. Due to strictly charging requirement, battery balancing is a necessary function in a battery management system (BMS) for charging this type of battery. Normally, there are two types of battery balancing circuit, i.e. active and passive balancing circuit. Because of simplicity, a passive circuit is chosen. Technically, passive balancing has energy loss while batteries are balancing. This research is focused on exploring three kinds of passive-balancing schemes about energy loss and at various conditions e.g. considering at balancing current or state of charge among all cells (SOCmax - SOCmin). The simulation results show that the different balancing schemes do not have significant effect on energy loss.
