Item type:Publication, Ultrafast all-optical ALU operation using a soliton control within the cascaded InGaAsP/InP microring circuits(2019-02-04) ;Soysouvanh, S. ;Phongsanam, P. ;Mitatha, S. ;Ali, J.Yupapin, P.A dark-bright soliton conversion is used to perform the two arithmetic logic unit operations namely adder and subtractor operations. The advantage of the system such as power stability, non-dispersion and the dark-bright soliton phase conversion control can be obtained. The input source into the circuit is the bright soliton pulse, with the pulse width of 35 ps, the peak power at 1.55 µm is 1 mW. By using the dark-bright soliton conversion pair, the generated logic bits can be controlled, and the secure bits can be achieved. The simulation results show the output signal with a minimum loss of only 0.1% with respect to a low input power of 1 mW, and ultra-fast response time of about 1 ps can be achieved. It gives the ultra-high bandwidth of more than 40 Gbits−1. The circuit composes six microring resonators made of InGaAsP/InP material with smaller ring radii of 1.5 µm, and the total physical scale of the circuit less than 100 µm2. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, All-optical logic and and or gates generated by dark-bright soliton conversion(2013-03-01) ;Phongsanam, P. ;Teeka, C. ;Jomtarak, R. ;Mitatha, S.Yupapin, P. P.In this paper, a novel system of simultaneous optical logic AND and OR gates using dark-bright soliton conversion within the add/drop optical filter system is proposed. By using the dark-bright soliton conversion concept, the switching output signal response time of ns can be obtained. The input logic <! - no-mfc - >'0'<! - /no-mfc - > and control logic <! - no-mfc - >'0'<! - /no-mfc - > are formed by using the dark soliton pulse (D) trains. We found that the simultaneous optical logic AND and OR gates at the drop and through ports can be formed, respectively. The comparison data of the commercial system is also given, which is shown that the proposed system has the advantage over the commercial ones. © 2012 Elsevier GmbH. Item type:Publication, All-optical S-R flip-flop using dark-bright soliton conversion control(2012-10-02) ;Soysouvanh, S. ;Luangxaysana, K. ;Yoshida, M. ;Komine, N.Phongsanam, P.We propose a new design for all-optical S-R flip-flop using optical technique namely dark-bright soliton conversion control within an optical add-drop filter. In operation, all-optical data input logic '0', '1' is formed by dark soliton (D) and bright soliton (B) pulses, respectively. The conversion behaviour between dark and bright soliton pulses can be obtained and formed the logic pulses by a π/2 phase shifted device (i.e. an optical coupler), in which the binary logic operation can be formed simultaneously at the thought and drop ports, respectively. In all-optical S-R flip-flop application can be recognized as a simple and flexible system for forming the logic switching system. Numerical simulation results are obtained and confirmed for the useful application, in which the advanced logical system can be operated. © 2012 IEEE. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, All-optical logic and arithmetic operation using soliton control for tree architecture use(2012-07-05) ;Luangxaysana, K. ;Phongsanam, P. ;Mitatha, S. ;Yoshida, M.Komine, N.This study has proposed a new design system for basic all-optical logic and arithmetic operation using dark-bright soliton conversion control base on tree architecture. Optical tree architecture and nonlinear materials can provide a significant role for contribution in optical interconnecting network and ultrafast photonic computing system. In operation, the input data for all-optical binary logic can be formed by dark and bright soliton pulses for logic '0' and '1', respectively. By using the dark-bright soliton conversion behaviors, the conversion between dark and bright soliton pulses can be obtained and formed the logic pulse by a 7i/2 phase shifted device (i.e., an optical coupler). In application, the proposed scheme can be recognized as a simple and flexible system for forming the logic switching system, which can be used for advanced logical system. © 2012 Asian Network for Scientific Information. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

P.We propose a new design of all-optical circuit using microring and nanoring devices, in which the simultaneous operation of half adder/subtractor arithmetic can be formed by using the dark-bright soliton conversion control within the system. The input logic "0" and "1" are performed by using dark and bright soliton pulses, respectively. By using the dark-bright soliton conversion behavior with in the π/2 phase shift device (i.e., an optical coupler), the arithmetic unit can perform simultaneously at the drop- and through- ports, respectively. In application, the proposed concept can be recognized as a simple and flexible scheme for performing the logic switching system, which can be used for advanced logical system.
