This paper illustrates the study and the competent comparison of a new Hata path loss model through a method of optimization and calibration in order to use the outcome for the prediction of DVB-T2 broadcasting in an urban area of Suratthani Province, the southern Thailand. The research data were from the measurement of the broadcasting signal within two stations; CH40, the frequency of 626 MHz and CH44, the frequency of 658 MHz where the distance of the transmitted station is 2-7 kilometers. The optimized path loss model is the least square method and the calibrated model is the statistical value of root mean square error (RMSE) and mean error (ME) whereas an indication of the model competent comparison is through the use of relative error (RE). The analytical value of RMSE and RE of the new Hata path loss model obtained from the calibrated method with ME value shows the RMSE and RE values lower than the calibrated model with RMSE and the optimized method. The calibrated method of ME value is therefore more suitable for creating a predicted model aimed to be more accurate in planning the network design.

This article presents Hata's path loss model calibration in order to predict a design of the Digital Terrestrial Television (DTTV) Propagation in an urban area of the south of Thailand through measuring power signal of the network operators' broadcasting in 4 channels within Haadyai urban area, Songkla Province. The chosen location is a density area, a distance of 2.5-6.5 km. from the broadcasting station. The calibration was conducted through a statistical method of Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) from received power signal and compared with a path loss model from the prediction, followed by looking for relative errors to indicate the efficiency of the calibration model. The RMSE analytical result of CH 26 with the frequency of 514 MHz; CH 42 with the frequency of 642 MHz; CH 46 with the frequency of 674 MHz; CH 54 with the frequency of 738 MHz shows that Hata's path loss model calibration is closer to the measured data than the original and the other model whereas the relative errors are closer to zero than the predicted path loss model. This makes the Hata's path loss model calibration become more accurate in the prediction and subsequently more suitable for use in planning the network design.

This paper has attempted to evaluate the radar cross section (RCS) of two furniture items in an indoor environment in a frequency range of 3-7 GHz of the ultra-wideband (UWB) range. The RCS evaluation is achieved through an extended version of the radar equation that incorporates the channel transfer function of scattering. The time-gating method was applied to remove the multipath effect, a phenomenon which typically occurs in the indoor environment. Two double-ridged waveguide horn antennas for both vertical and horizontal polarizations were used to obtain the transfer function of scattering of the furniture prior to analysis in order to derive their bistatic RCS. The RCS results validate the applicability of the proposed extended radar equation to the indoor propagation prediction.

Theradio-frequency identification(RFID)are growingrapidly, especially at 2.45 GHz that is very high speed transmission for toll collection. In addition, there are many problems from the effects of interference due to multipath fading, which leading to bandwidth limitation and channel distortion. Consequently, the rapidly signal processing of RFID reader could be still lacks the demands on improvement. The interference cancelation is proposed by using the blind filtering equalization on previously. In this paper, we proposed the suppressive interfering due to multipath rician fading chanenl based on the successive interference cancellation (SIC) technique for improve the convergence of the constant modulus (CM) algorithm. Also as the result, the quantitative evaluation of mitigate interferences are shown.

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), is unlicensed industrial, scientific, and medical (ISM) band at 2.4 GHz. The same principle as that used in long-range radio communication links. The reader's antenna generates a propagating radio wave use far-field communication, which is received by the antenna in the tag. This paper, the microstrip patch antennas used both for transmitter antenna and receiver antenna likewise the reader antenna and tag antenna, simple patch antenna of this type radiates a linearly polarized wave. We investigated the transmission loss the RFID short range systems. Furthermore, we believed our studies can be designed the antennas for RFID systems. ©2009 IEEE.

The radio frequency identification (RFID) is a wireless communications that lets computer reads the identity to tag at 2:45 GHz can be fast identified the high speeds at 3 meters read range guaranteed at speeds of 100 km/hr. This paper used the model for expressway by supposing receiver moves to fixed transmitter, the microstrip antenna was used for both transmitter and receiver, The Friis's transmission formula is used for analysis. We considered characteristics of antennas performance at each distance transmission channel, magnitude and phase channel transfer function, bit error rate, path loss and rms delay spread were the results of experimental. This technique is very to useful for analyzed the signal performance and transmission signal in the RFID networks. © 2009 IEEE.

The radio frequency identification (RFID) technology was automatic identify becomes was essential in the service an indoor environment such as contactless smart card and libraries [10] at high frequency in free space transfer function in wireless communication usually consider used Friss's formula for analysis. This paper the RFID propagation channel at 2.45 GHz with indoor environment. The measurement result are evaluation by using Friis's transmission formula to find the magnitude and phase channel transfer function, path loss, and power delay profile. This technique is very useful for analyzed the signal strength and radio propagation loss of RFID transmission signal © 2008 IEEE.
