Item type:Publication, THz switching generation using a PANDA ring resonator for high speed computer communication(2012-11-12) ;Punthawanunt, Suphanchai ;Soysouvanh, Saysamone ;Luangxaysana, Khanthanou ;Mitatha, SomsakYoshida, MasahiroA novel design of Terahertz (THz) switching generation for high speed computer used is proposed. The dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) can be obtained by using a Gaussian or Soliton pluses propagating within a modified add-drop filter know as a PANDA ring resonator. The THz devices can made contributions to promising applications in high-speed switching, demultiplexing, and wavelength conversion of optical signals. Effective THz control is also essential for the potential application to ultrahigh-speed wireless digital interconnects for computer chips of the ultrahigh clock rates (> 10 GHz). In principle, the high density frequency (wavelength) can be generated and used to form the radio frequency identification (RFID), Ad-Hoc network and ubiquitous applications, moreover, the tiny device system is the another advantage, which can be constructed incorporating the available currently used system. In this paper is organized as follow: introduction, theory and the use of such a system in all proposed applications. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, An optical buffer manipulation using a microring array(2011-05-02) ;Punthawanunt, Suphanchai ;Teeka, Chat ;Jomtarak, RangsanYupapin, Preecha P.We present design and FDTD simulations of microring resonator array optical buffer. The proposed buffer consists of six microring array coupled via upper MZI arm and one microring coupled via lower MZI arm all coupled with 105 nm gap coupling. Results obtained have shown that the delay signals can be available for the use for optical memory and applications. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Simulation of an optical buffer using microring resonator array with 1.5μm radius(2011-05-02) ;Punthawanunt, Suphanchai ;Teeka, Chat ;Jomtarak, RangsonYupapin, Preecha P.We present the design and FDTD simulations of microring resonator array optical buffer. The proposed buffer consists of six microring array coupled via upper MZI arm, and one microring is coupled via the lower MZI arm, where all coupling gap used is with 105 nm. Results obtained have shown that the delay times of the output signals can be used to form the optical buffer(memory), which can be available for high capacity channel multiplexing and filtering applications. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Quantum CNOT gate operation using dark-bright soliton pair(2011-05-02) ;Punthawanunt, Suphanchai ;Yupapin, Preecha P. ;Louangvilay, XaythavyMitatha, SomsakA simple system of a quantum CNOT gate operation using dark and bright solitons in a Mach Zhender interferometer (MZI) is proposed. In this concept, two qubits are randomly generated by using the coincidence dark and bright soliton states within the MZI, in which (|D〉) and (|B〉) represent the orthogonal dark and bright soliton states, which they are input into the MZI input ports simultaneously. The randomly input dark and bright soliton pulses can perform the random logical codes after propagating through a phase retarder of (π/2). By using low power soliton, the soliton power can reduce to a single photon power (10-6 W), where finally the quantum gate can be performed by using the single photon detection scheme. The quantum controlled-NOT (CNOT) gate is formed by controlling the input and coincidence solitons (photons), where in some cases the phase shifter is required to obtain the coincidence solitons. type your own text.
