    A series-resonant half-bridge inverter for induction-iron appliances
    (2011-12-01)
    Sanajit, N.
    ;
    This paper presents a series-resonant half-bridge inverter for induction iron appliances. The series-resonant inverter is implemented to provide Zero Current Switching (ZCS) for all the switches at turn off conditions and Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) at diode turn on. The main features of the proposed inverter are simple PWM control strategy and high efficiency. The operation mode of the inverter will be evaluated corresponding to the duty cycle of the switch. The experimental results verify the advantages of the proposed topology. © 2011 IEEE.

    A fixed frequency PWM induction shower using the duty cycle
    (2010-12-01)
    Sanajit, N.
    ;
    This paper presents a 2 kW, 36.5 kHz induction shower using a duty cycle control. The principle of this depends on induction heating from high frequency electromagnetic induction. The high frequency electric current passes through two induction coils connected in parallel so as to induce current at work piece that uses a stainless steel box and transfer heat to water inside it. The control uses the duty cycle which is generated from integrated circuit. In addition, this paper analysis output power and efficiency compared with the duty cycle. The results waveform shown as a ZVS condition is agreed with the theory one. A fixed PWM induction shower gives the rated output power and makes the temperature rise to 41 °C at the work piece in steady state within 2 min. ©2010 IEEE.

    A half-bridge dc/dc converter for plasma cutting machine
    (2007-12-01)
    Sanajit, N.
    ;
    This paper presents the design and construction of a plasma cutting machine by using a half-bridge dc/dc converter for negative direct current power supply and initial exicting are by a high voltage high frequency circuit. when the gas passes a torch electrod, it will explode to be plasma are and transfer to the work piece. This process has been designed for an output power of plasma cutting machine at 2 kW by employing Isolate Gate Bipolar Transistors (IGBTs) as switches. The switching frequency is 20 kHz. The plasma cutting machine can cut 1 mm of steel. When compared with a linear transformer plasma cutting machine, the designed plasma cutting machine has an efficiency quite similar. In addition, the plasma cutting machine is small, light, and compatible. © 2007 IEEE.
