    Behavioral intentions toward air purifier adoption in Thai municipal offices for sustainable indoor air quality

    As outdoor air pollution in Thailand increases and indoor environments begin to trap the accumulation of fine particulate matter (PM 2. 5) outside and produce it inside, the protection of indoor air quality (IAQ) in municipal offices is an issue of public-health concern. In this paper, we test determinants of the behavioral intention to use (BIU) portable air purifiers in municipal executives by combining the theory of planned behavior (TPB) and technology acceptance model (TAM) with a structural equation modelling (SEM) model based on a survey of n = 320 municipal executives across the country. Findings reveal that the perceived innovativeness and effectiveness of air purifiers, as a constitute of a key antecedent of adoption, has positive and significantly large standardized path coefficients both directly affecting BIU and indirectly, through perceived behavioral control (PBC) and perceived ease of use (PEOU). Results also indicate that BIU is related to environmental air characteristics (EAC) in the perception of executives regarding ambient and indoor air conditions and that this influences adoption through PBC and, indirectly through performance expectancy (PE) (all significant paths p < 0.001). Collectively, the evidence cannot cause an effect but indicates strong in-direct pathways that can be used to support an explanation of technology acceptance in the workplaces of the public sector. The findings highlight the significance of the user-centered design, the ability to build capabilities, as well as to communicate the air-purifier performance in a clear way helping to improve perceived control and expectancy. This research can inform policy-makers with respect to ad-ministration of cities because it connects the concepts of IAQ management, occupational health, and sustainable procurement and emphasizes how convenient data dashboards and online visualizations of air quality can shape the willingness of executives to implement air purifying technologies.

    Sustainable Air Purifiers for Thai Smart Cities: Integrating Circular Economy and Public Health in Municipal Innovation

    Rapid urbanization and economic growth in Thailand have intensified urban air-quality challenges, especially PM2.5 pollution associated with agricultural burning, industrial emissions, and traffic congestion. Municipal governments are therefore exploring technological interventions that can complement conventional emission-control policies in the transition toward healthier smart cities. One promising approach is the deployment of sustainable outdoor air-purifier towers equipped with high-speed fans, jet scrubbers, and IoT-based monitoring systems. Early pilots, including the MQDC FahSai Mini tower, have demonstrated substantial dust-reduction potential and real-time data integration with public air-quality platforms. This study develops an interdisciplinary framework that connects public health, circular economy principles, technology adoption, and sustainable urban design. We examine how environmental awareness, perceived effectiveness, social influence, perceived cost, health anxiety, and value co-creation shape adoption intention and behavior toward municipal air-purification systems in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen, and Phuket. Using mixed methods, including interviews and survey data from 320 stakeholders, residents, and officials, and analyzing the data through CFA and SEM, the study finds that environmental awareness and perceived effectiveness positively influence adoption, while perceived cost reduces it. Value co-creation emerges as the strongest driver of adoption intention and mediates the role of social influence. Scenario analysis further indicates that the deployment of 10–15 purifier towers could reduce PM2.5 by approximately 30–40% and generate meaningful health-related economic benefits. The discussion now more explicitly addresses the end-of-life management of saturated filter media, the role of multi-level governance and redistributive financing for urban equity, and the importance of addressing technological anxiety to secure a durable social license for deployment.

    Fuzzy Techniques and Adjusted Mixture Design-Based Scenario Analysis in the CLMV (Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Vietnam) Subregion for Multi-Criteria Decision Making in the Apparel Industry

    This research paper presents an all-encompassing methodology for multi-criteria decision-making in the apparel sector, with the particular objective of aiding in the determination of the most appropriate location within the CLMV subregion. The research is conducted in three crucial stages. The process began with the administration of a survey to proprietors of garment businesses in both Thailand and the CLMV countries. This survey resulted in the compilation of an exhaustive list of site-selection criteria and sub-criteria. Based on the findings of subject matter-expert interviews, Cambodia (C), Vietnam (V), and Myanmar (M) were identified as feasible alternatives. Subsequently, the questionnaire criteria and sub-criteria were evaluated utilizing the Fuzzy Analytic Network Process (Fuzzy ANP), which involved the utilization of meticulously designed pair-wise comparison matrices and local priorities. Five specialists from the Thai entrepreneurial community affirmed the effectiveness of Fuzzy ANP and expressed interest in expanding manufacturing operations in the CLMV subregion. The optimal location for Thai apparel manufacturers was subsequently determined using the Fuzzy Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (Fuzzy TOPSIS). The results indicated that Vietnam is the most favorable option. In order to improve the dependability of results, an amended mixture-design scenario analysis was implemented. This analysis assessed the sensitivity and dependability of the proposed model in different scenarios, ensuring its applicability in real-world situations. In contrast to traditional models, this study integrates managerial judgments and preferences into the decision-making procedure, thereby accounting for the complex interdependencies among numerous criteria. The suggested methodology functions as a beneficial instrument for decision-makers, both domestic and international, as it integrates effortlessly into the organizational structure of the CLMV region. By harmonizing objectives pertaining to data acquisition, manipulation, retention, and dissemination, this framework not only enables enhanced decision-making processes, but also optimizes system efficiency.

    BUSINESS STRATEGIES OF SNACK FOOD PRODUCT EXPORT PERFORMANCE: A STRUCTURAL EQUATION MODEL ANALYSIS

    Over the past several years the COVID-19 pandemic has devasted Thailand‘s economy while simultaneously destroying the ability of numerous snack food enterprises to sell their home-grown products domestically and to export to the broader international community. Therefore, the purpose of the research was to investigate which factors affected the export performance (XPE) of Thai One Tambon One Product (OTOP) entrepreneur snack food products. From a list of OTOP export producers, the authors used systematic random sampling across six Thai regions to select the study‘s 311 export entrepreneurs. The structural equation model (SEM) analysis used LISREL 9.1 to determine the validity of the causal model and the variable interrelationships and how they affected OTOP snack food XPE. The SEM results revealed that innovative products (IPT), innovative processes (IPS), packaging design (PAD), the marketing mix strategy (MMS), and product quality (PDQ) all positively influenced XPE. Also, the total effect values for MMS, PAD, PDQ, IPT, and IPS, were 0.27, 0.22, 0.21, 0.15, and 0.05, respectively. Nine of the eleven hypotheses examined were supported, with PAD being shown to strongly influence MMS. This paper makes a significant contribution to the global discussion concerning rural poverty reduction, rural employment, and entrepreneurial handicraft export performance.
