Item type:Publication, Breathing sound detection from the external auditory canal with condenser microphones(2021-05-19) ;Chunhakam, Puripak; ;Sangpisit, WipaWardkien, ParamoteBreathing disorders or sleep apnea is one of the major causes of death that can be diagnosed through breathing while the patient is asleep. At present, breathing detectors are inconvenient for wearing and annoying in the activity of daily life. Therefore, in this research, we present a method for detecting the respiratory sound of breathing from the external auditory canal. This sound is produced by the flowing of air through the respiratory tract and the sound travel through the eardrum to the organs to the external auditory canal by using a condenser microphone to detect the sound of inhalation and exhalation, the detector is shaped like an earphone which does not disturb sleep and does not cause a nuisance to the wearer. Because we are already used to wearing headphones for listening to music while sleeping. This proposed breathing detection system prototype consists of a condenser microphone, amplifier, and signal processing was performed by using the MATLAB program to detect the peak of the breath signal and interpret the peak of the signal as breathing. The results showed that the system can accurately monitor the breathing with an error of about 9.81% - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Human Identification Technique Based Behavioural Standing Still on Force Plates(2018-09-11) ;Sirisilpa, Pattraporn ;Sinchai, Sakkarin; Sangpisit, WipaThis article proposes the human identification technique based behavioural standing still on force plates. Since the body sway that occurs during a quiet stand is caused by the movement of the center of mass and the center of pressure, thus the transfer of weight on the left and right feet of each person has a unique characteristic. This characteristic is then applied to identify individuals. In addition, the signals obtained from eyes open and eyes close condition are studied. The processing results are obtained by MATLAB program. The results of the proposed method show that the behavioural standing still signal in eyes open condition can be applied for human identification. However, the further study and improvement of the proposed principle is needed to acquire better in false rate of identification. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Architecture for instantaneous frequency and amplitude detection(2011-03-01) ;Lorsawatsiri, Anuree ;Kiranon, Wiwat; ;Sangpisit, WipaThis paper presents a new architecture to detect the frequency and amplitude of sinusoidal signals. The proposed architecture employs merely differentiators and analog computational units to gain an accurate and instantaneous response. The detected output of the frequency measuring module is linear with frequencies and insensitive to the peak amplitude of the input signal, and vice versa. Moreover, the sensitivity (gain) of frequency detection module and that of amplitude detection module are orthogonally adjusted. The simulation results are then given to verify the theoretical analyses. The results also include various set of simulation aiming to give substantive measures of satisfactory performance of the proposed method. © 2010 Elsevier GmbH. Item type:Publication, An arbitrary power law device based on integrators(2000-12-01) ;Kiranon, Wiwat ;Loescharataramdee, Chariya ;Petchakit, WijittraSangpisit, WipaA new simple arbitrary power law device implemented from integrators along with the sample-and-hold technique is presented. The number of the integrators indicates the index of the power law. Part of the integrators determine an appropriate time interval to be used to control the sample-and-hold circuit to extract the correct output. To test the validity and value of the proposed method, numerous power law functions have been experimented. The experimental results show very close agreement with the theoretical analysis. In addition, the measurement output, possibly as large as a few volts, is obtained with extreme precision. © 2000 IEEE. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, A novel derivative envelope detector(1998-12-01) ;Sangpisit, Wipa; ;Kiranon, WiwatLoescharataramdee, ChariyaA novel and efficient algorithm for envelope detection based upon Hilbert transformation techniques is presented. The method relies exclusively on using differentiation to approximate Hilbert transformation. The resulting detector is causal and does not require exact knowledge of carrier phase or frequency. The effectiveness of the method is illustrated through investigations of the estimation error performance in comparison with that of the existing detectors. Simulation and experimental results demonstrate the superiority of the proposed method. © 1998 IEEE.
