Item type:Publication, The efficiency of mangosteen peel for dye removal(2021-01-28); Suwanpayak, N.Mangosteen peel, an agricultural waste to be used as an adsorbent, was prepared by a simple and eco-friendly method. The dried mangosteen peel (DMP) was initially studied its surface charge by using the pH drift method. The adsorption experiments were performed using the batch technique to explore the efficiency of methylene blue (MB) removal. Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy and Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM) were used to characterise the DMP before and after the adsorption process. The results revealed that MB could be adsorbed onto the DMP surface via the electrostatic interaction between the cationic dyes and surface functional groups of the DMP. To explore the MB adsorption efficiency of DMP adsorbent, the factors of the initial pH of MB solution, particle sizes of the DMP, DMP dosage, and contact time were investigated by using Ultraviolet-Visible (UV-Vis) spectrophotometer. It was found that the percentage of MB removal was 99.7% by using 5 g/L of DMP at particle sizes of lower than 75 μm within ten minutes under the initial pH condition of MB solution. Moreover, the experimental equilibrium adsorption data were fitted to the Freundlich isotherm model with = 0.9869.2 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Anatomical and physical properties of tendril perversion of Coccinia grandis (L.) Voigt(2020-12-22) ;Prombanchong, T.; ;Srisongkram, P.Suwanpayak, N.The structure of biomaterial is interest in biomimetic and biomechanics research. The physical properties, mechanical, characteristic of twisting and bending of plant tendrils are also thought-provoking to study. In this study, we proposed an innovative biomaterial spring device for holding an object and providing support. The device uses Coccinia grandis (L.) Voigt tendril as inspired by the relations of left-hand (LH) and right-hand (RH) climbing tendrils with a single branch. To study the morphology and anatomy, testing stress, length, number of the helix of the tendril which relation of mimic string material Coccinia grandis (L.) Voigt tendril and helical metal which have two helixes, three helixes and four helixes were tested by using food texture analysis. The anatomical showed many cell types and slight differences between straight and coiled tendrils. The result showed the tendril of two helixes has the highest stress and four helixes the least. Also, tensile testing showed that the number of helixes does not affect the stress of the tendril models.1 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Effect of ohmic heating on colour and texture of chicken frankfurter(2019-09-09) ;Lim-Im, J.; ;Suwanpayak, N.Ohmic method is a heating technique using the electrical current directly through the food. In this study, the commercial chicken frankfurters were heated by an alternating current in a voltage range of 45-55 V and compared the qualities in term of colour, texture, moisture content and water activity with the non-heating. The voltage gradient was conversely correlated with the heating duration. The high voltage gradient could raise the target temperature in a short time but it provided the less shear force of specimen tenderness. On the other hand, every voltage insignificantly influenced the sausage moisture content. The large amount of the water activity was significant decreased at the voltage gradient of 50 V and the hardness and the shearing level of the sample of this intensity were similar to the non-heating sausage. The specimens with ohmic heating seemed homogeneous colour with naked eye whereas the measured values were slightly different. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

The experiments were designed for students to explore, analyze the data and interpreting the results by using the principle of a Physics laboratory. The mean experimental values of acceleration due to the gravity of free fall, simple pendulum, physical pendulum and the Atwood's machine were 9.64 m/s 2 , 9.67 m/s 2 , 10.88 m/s 2 and 10.47 m/s 2 , respectively. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Drying characteristics of whole Musa AA group 'Kluai Leb Mu Nang' using hot air and infrared vacuum(2017-06-27); ; Suwanpayak, N.Dried Musa AA group 'Kluai Leb Mu Nang' are the famous processing goods of Chumphon province, the south of Thailand. In this paper, we improved the qualities of whole Musa AA group 'Kluai leb Mu Nang' by using the hot air and infrared vacuum (HA and infrared vacuum) drying method which has two stages. The first stage of the method is the hot air (HA) and hot air-infrared (HAI) drying for rapidly reducing the moisture content and the drying times at atmospheric pressure, and the second stage, the moisture content, and color of the samples can be controlled by the HA and infrared vacuum drying. The experiment was evaluated by the terms of firmness, color change, moisture content, vacuum pressure and energy consumption at various temperatures. The results were found that the suitable temperature of the HAI and HA and infrared vacuum drying stages at 70°C and 55°C, respectively, while the suitable vacuum pressure in the second process was -0.4 bar. The samples were dried in a total of 28 hrs using 13.83 MJ/kg of specific energy consumption (stage 1 with 8.8 MJ/kg and stage 2 of 5.03 MJ/kg). The physical characteristics of the 21% (wb) of dried bananas can be measured the color change, L∗=38.56, a∗=16.47 and b∗=16.3, was approximate the goods from the local market, whereas the firmness of them was more tender and shown a value of 849.56 kN/m3. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Optical manipulation of nano-micro needle array for large volume molecular diagnosis(2012-08-01) ;Aziz, M. S. ;Jalil, M. A. ;Suwanpayak, N. ;Ali, J.Yupapin, P. P.Optical vorticesare generated and controlled to form trapping tools in the same way as optical tweezers. By using the intense optical vortices generated within the PANDA ring resonator, the required atoms/molecules can be trapped and moved (transported) dynamically within the wavelength router or network. The advantage of the proposed system is that a transmitter and receiver can be formed within the same system, which is available for atoms/molecules storage and transportation based on methods that have been proposed to deliver drugs into cells for specific diagnosis. P.Ali, J.By using a pair of tweezers to generate the intense optical vortices within the PANDA ring resonator, the required molecules (drug volumes) can be trapped and moved dynamically within the molecular bus networks, in which the required diagnosis or drug delivery targets can be performed within the network. The advantage of the proposed system is that the proposed diagnostic method can perform within the tiny system (thin film device or circuit), which can be available for a human embedded device for diagnostic use. Item type:Publication, Blood cleaner on-chip design for artificial human kidney manipulation.(2011-11-07) ;Suwanpayak, N. ;Jalil, M. A. ;Aziz, M. S. ;Ismail, F. D.Ali, J.A novel design of a blood cleaner on-chip using an optical waveguide known as a PANDA ring resonator is proposed. By controlling some suitable parameters, the optical vortices (gradient optical fields/wells) can be generated and used to form the trapping tools in the same way as optical tweezers. In operation, the trapping force is formed by the combination between the gradient field and scattering photons by using the intense optical vortices generated within the PANDA ring resonator. This can be used for blood waste trapping and moves dynamically within the blood cleaner on-chip system (artificial kidney), and is performed within the wavelength routers. Finally, the blood quality test is exploited by the external probe before sending to the destination. The advantage of the proposed kidney on-chip system is that the unwanted substances can be trapped and filtered from the artificial kidney, which can be available for blood cleaning applications.1 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
