Item type:Publication, Improving Naive Bayes by Reducing the Importance of Low-Frequency Words Based on Entropy of Words for Spam Email Classification(2022-01-01) ;Trikanjananun, Phaiboon; Tipsuwannaporn, VittayaThe Naive Bayes algorithm (NB algorithm) is a popular one for spam email classification due to fast training, using simple techniques and high accuracy. One of many research improving NB algorithms are the AWF-NB algorithm. In this paper, we call the research an AWF-algorithm for convenient mention. The AWF-NB algorithm focuses on solving the equally important word in each class because it is not always the case. Another problem of the NB algorithm to solve this problem, the AWF-NB extremely reduces the importance of words in the class that has lower importance. However, this action will lead to reducing the accuracy in cases that slightly differ among the importance of words in each class. Therefore, the goal of the research is to improve the AWF-NB algorithm by reducing the importance of words based on entropy of words. We compute the entropy of a word to decide if it should be reduced in importance. The experimental results on ten spam email datasets from Kaggle website indicated that the RIWE-NB algorithm can remarkably increase the classification accuracy of the NB algorithm and the AWF-NB algorithm in majority datasets while the execution time is still conserved. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Smith predictor design by CDM for temperature control system(2010-12-01) ;Puawade, Pruetti ;Boonpranchoo, Vichitpon ;Tipsuwannaporn, VittayaSmith Predictor control is theoretically a good solution to the problem of controlling the time delay systems. However, it seldom gets use because it is almost impossible to find out a precise mathematical model of the practical system and very sensitive to uncertain system with variable time-delay. In this paper is concerned with a design method of smith predictor for temperature control system by Coefficient Diagram Method (CDM). The simulation results show that the control system with smith predictor design by CDM is stable and robust whilst giving the desired time domain system performance. ©ICROS. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Design of PI controller using MRAC techniques for coupled-tanks process(2010-12-01) ;Kangwanrat, Suparoek ;Tipsuwannaporn, VittayaThe typical coupled-tanks process that is TITO plant has the difficulty in controller design because changing of system dynamics and interacting of process. This paper presents design methodology of auto-adjustable PI controller using MRAC technique. The proposed method can adjust the controller parameters in response to changes in plant and disturbance real time by referring to the reference model that specifies properties of the desired control system. ©ICROS.1 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Traffic forecasting and navigation assistance system via web application(2007-12-01) ;Meemongkol, Amnat; ;Tipsuwannaporn, VittayaThis paper presents a model of Traffic Forecasting and Navigation Assistance System via Web Application which provides guidance information to drivers for the efficient route planning. Traffic Forecasting and Navigation Assistance System (TFNAS) consists of survey car with GPS module which has rolls of reading traffic information and sending the information to TFNAS Center via internet. TFNAS Center is the center of GPS database and traffic information processing system. It collects GPS information real-time, calculates the traffic density and sends the guidance information of the most effective route which has a least time of arrival to Front-end Devices, Smart Phone PDA Laptop, via Web Brower. © ICROS.
