Item type:Publication, A rectangular patch rectifying antenna array for wireless power transmission applications(2017-12-19) ;Wounchoum, Phairote ;Janpangngern, Pisit ;Pookkapund, KhanetPhongcharoenpanich, ChuwongIn this paper, a suspended-rectangular patch rectifying antenna (rectenna) array for 2.45 GHz wireless power transmission is presented. The proposed rectenna, which consists of an antenna array and a rectifying circuit, is designed to convert the RF signal into DC power. The antenna structure is designed by using a rectangular patch which radiates unidirectional pattern. The air substrate of the antenna is used to achieve high gain. The rectifying circuit is designed based on voltage diode with stub matching circuit. The dimension of the proposed antenna is square of 190 mm. The measured gain of this antenna is 14 dBi. At the distance of 1 m, the proposed rectifying circuit achieves the output voltage of 1.5 V and output current of 0.15 mA with a 1 MΩ resistor load and a transmitter power of 34.6 dBm EIRP. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Exponential horn antenna excited by circular ring for bridging outdoor wireless LAN applications(2017-12-19) ;Wounchoum, Phairote ;Wongsiritorn, Pitchanun ;Kosulvit, SompolPhongcharoenpanich, ChuwongIn this paper, a circular ring is used to excite exponential horn antenna presented for bridging outdoor wireless LAN applications. The advantage of this structure does not require a waveguide feeding system. The purpose of this antenna design is to achieve unidirectional antenna which is operated at the center frequency of 2.45 GHz (2.40 GHz to 2.484 GHz). The characteristics of the proposed antenna such as S<inf>11</inf>, radiation pattern and gain are also demonstrated. The results show that the antenna have given a high gain of 14.6 dBi and S11 less than-30 dB at the center frequency. The proposed antenna is very useful for bridging outdoor WLAN systems. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Magnetic field distributions of two-slot array antenna on a concentric sectoral cylindrical resonator excited by a coupling slot(2008-12-01) ;Wounchoum, Phairote ;Worasawate, Denchai ;Phongcharoenpanich, ChuwongKrairiksh, Monaiin this paper, the magnetic field distribution of two-slot array antenna on a concentric sectoral cylindrical resonator excited by a coupling slot is presented. The correlations between the field distributions of the antenna and the mode-based field distributions are presented. The radiation pattern, magnetic field distribution and magnitude of S11 are investigated in the terms of the length of the sectoral resonator. It shows that the TE112 mode has degenerated to the magnitude of S11 for the circumferential slot array antenna. The results provide useful information for the design of switched-beam array antenna on the concentric sectoral cylindrical resonators. ©2008 IEEE. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Effects of ruminai magnets in the vicinity of a bolus tag of an LF-RFID system(2008-10-06) ;Eardprab, Sanchai ;Wounchoum, Phairote ;Phongcharoenpanich, ChuwongTorrungrueng, DanaiThis paper presents effects of ruminai magnets In the vicinity of a bolus tag of an LF-RFID (Low Frequency-Radio Frequency Identification) system. The study on effects of ruminai magnets to the communication for an RFID reader and a bolus tag is performed by the resonant-frequency measurement. From measurement results, it is found that effects of ruminai magnets in the vicinity of a bolus tag are strong when the ruminai magnets and the bolus tag are arranged in parallel, and the distance between the ruminai magnets and the bolus tag is small. © 2008 IEEE. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Radiation characteristics of two-slot array antenna on a concentric sectoral cylindrical resonator excited by a coupling slot(2007-12-01) ;Wounchoum, Phairote ;Phongcharoenpanich, Chuwong ;Worasawate, DenchaiKrairiksh, MonaiThis paper presents the radiation characteristics of two-slot array antenna on a concentric sectoral cylindrical resonator excited by a coupling slot. The magnetic fields inside the sectoral cylindrical resonator for the first few modes are presented with sectoral angle of 60 degrees. It shows that the appropriate mode for a slot array antenna on a concentric sectoral cylindrical resonator is the TM<inf>110</inf> mode. The radiation patterns of two-slot array antenna on a concentric sectoral cylindrical resonator for single sector are illustrated. The location of the coupling slot is considered to find the appropriate radiation pattern. The results provide useful information for the design of switched-beam array antenna on the concentric sectoral cylindrical resonators. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Improvement of communication performance for trapezoidal dual loop antennas by switching techniques(2007-12-01) ;Kawdungta, Supakit ;Wounchoum, Phairote ;Phongcharoenpanich, ChuwongTorrungrueng, DanaiThis paper presents the switching techniques for trapezoidal dual loop antennas to improve the communication performance of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) system at low frequency. The switching techniques use two sets of antennas in walk-through gate configuration in order that the RFID reader can activate two sets of antenna at different times. Both antennas were designed to yield the magnetic field covering the entire volume. The antenna prototype was fabricated and measured the percentage of volume to confirm the communication performance. The obtained percentages of volume in three principal axes are 100%. The experimental results verify the antenna capability in RFID system. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Trapezoidal dual loop antenna for Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) system at low frequency(2006-01-01) ;Mansap, Chawanthawat ;Wounchoum, Phairote ;Phongcharoenpanich, ChuwongTorrungrueng, DanaiThis paper proposes the trapezoidal dual loop antenna for radio frequency identification (RFID) system at low frequency band (125 kHz and 134.2 kHz). Typically, the conventional antenna for this system is the rectangular loop. The antenna structure is simple at the expense of limited tag orientation and shorter distance communications. The advantage of the proposed antenna is that it can be used for arbitrary orientation with the further distance. It also possesses the simple structure with low cost. The simulation is carried out by using the Numerical Electromagnetic Code (NEC) to determine the suitable parameters. The antenna prototype is fabricated and measured to validate the antenna design and performance in RFID system. Copyright 2006 IEICE. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, Characteristics of a helical array antenna radiating circularly polarized conical beam(2001-01-01) ;Phongcharoenpanich, Chuwong ;Lertwiriyaprapa, Titipong ;Lamultree, Suthasinee ;Wounchoum, PhairoteKosulvit, SompolThe characteristics of a helical array antenna radiating circularly polarized conical beams were presented. Guidelines were provided for the antenna design to realize the desired directivity and elevation angle. The total fields radiated from each small helical antenna on the ground plane were combined to calculate the radiation pattern of the antenna. The radiation patterns were demonstrated for various parameters such as the array radius and the number of elements.
