Item type:Publication, Contactless silicon-based multi-dimensional Hall sensor with simultaneous magnetic sensing and omni-rotational angle measurement(2019-01-01) ;Kaewjumras, Yongyut ;Prabket, Jirawat ;Titiroongruang, WisutNiemcharoen, SurasakThis experimental research proposes a contactless silicon-based two-dimensional (2D) Hall sensor capable of simultaneous parallel- and perpendicular-directional magnetic sensing, with a 360° angle measurement. The Hall sensor was of non-symmetrical five-ohmic contact configuration (C1 – C5). In the study, experiments were carried out in three stages. In the first-stage experiment, the current (I) and voltage (V) of the 2D Hall sensor were determined under three schemes: schemes A (C1&C2), B (C2&C5), and C (C3&C4). In the second-stage experiment, the parallel and perpendicular absolute sensitivities of the 2D sensor were examined. Considering the discrepancy between the parallel and perpendicular absolute sensitivities, signal conditioning circuitry was incorporated into the sensor system to compensate, and the rotational angles measured in the final-stage experiment. The results revealed that the I-V curves were dominantly linear, corresponding to Ohm’s law. However, the parallel and perpendicular absolute sensitivities were low and unequal. Thus, signal conditioning circuitry was incorporated into the system to address the discrepancy and improve the performance. Importantly, the 2D Hall sensor exhibited a mere ±3o discrepancy between the measured and reference rotational angles, given the magnetic flux density of 1000 G, with the hysteresis error of 2.8%. In essence, the proposed contactless silicon-based 2D Hall sensor possesses high potential for high-precision industrial applications. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Subsidence monitoring system for industrial machines based on magnetic field method(2010-12-01) ;Sriratana, Witsarut ;Nakmee, KreangkraiTanachaikhan, LerdlekhaThis study presents the design of subsidence monitoring system for industrial machine alignment based on magnetic field method. The system was developed to demonstrate the level of land subsidence in the area of the industrial machine located. A computer was used to collect the data and to display the angles of subsidence over operation period. The measurement module consists of two thin-and-curve permanent magnets (10 mm x 41.5 mm x 1.5 mm) with the outer radius of 24 mm, the curve angle of 120 degree, and the maximum magnetic density of 0.23 Tesla. The gap between these two magnets was 12 mm to generate the magnetic tension force. The sensing module was Hall Generator placed perpendicularly to the magnetic fluxes which can generate the output voltage as a function of subsidence angle and magnetic density on X axis and Z (vertical) axis with the resolution of 100 mV per degree. There were two ranges of measurement according to the angle resolution: -20 to 20 degree at 1 degree of resolution per step and -6 to 6 degree at 0.05 degree of resolution per step. ©ICROS. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Design and control of metering system and furrow openers for garlic planter(2010-11-01) ;Benjaphragairat, Jiraporn ;Sakurai, HaiIto, NobutakaPresently, the garlic planter is an eight-row type. This research has focused on increasing the planter capacity by reducing the draft of the planter, increasing the field efficiency by increasing the optimum number of rows and increasing the uniformity of the seed. For the10-row garlic planter, the test results obtained from the farmers' field were based on the following criteria: working speed 1.68 km/h, height of the seed delivery tube above ground level 30 cm, which was the lowest variation. The field capacity was 0.13ha/man-h and plant spacing was 11.73 cm. The percentage of slip was 10.36%. The furrow opener is a shoe type, placed in two lines with spacing of 250 mm between the lines. It gave a constant draft force of about 1.05 kg f/row. The percentage of germination was 74.57%. The average yield was 26,919 kg/ha, whilst the average yield of planting by the farmer was 30,419 kg/ha. The precision value for human planting was 20.93% while the 10-row garlic planter was 21.0%, on average.
