Item type:Publication, The plug and outlet for home appliances in DC low voltage micro-grid system(2017-11-03) ;Pairindra, WorapongKhomfoi, SurinThis proposed paper introduces the more effectiveness of power transferring in dc micro-grid power distribution in order to comprehend the usage of home appliances. A 300V 5-level diode clamped multilevel is operated as power source for contactless power transfer with a selective harmonic elimination(SHE) technique, and the output is set at 48 V 300W with the efficiency at 92.6%. The converter generates 200 kHz switching frequency to send a highly magnetic coupling through primary coil over ferromagnetic material in tight coupling condition. The paper aims are to eliminate the electric shock, galvanic isolation and arch free in dc to dc power conversion. Additionally, the lower %THD can reduce designed parameters which mean the power density will be increased. The output will be illustrated in both simulation and implementation results. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, The enhancement of multilevel converter for coaxial inductive power transfer in low voltage DC power distribution(2016-09-06) ;Pairindra, WorapongKhomfoi, SurinThe contactless power transfer of dc plug and outlet is proposed in this paper for domestic home appliances dc power system. The medium size dc to dc converter is chosen for transferring 300 V input voltage and generated a 5-level with 600 kHz output voltage by using diode clamped multilevel converter. The output power is set at 300W 48V and the solenoid transformer is functioned as an inductive power transfer (IPT) system. The aims of this proposed paper are to achieved the low switching loss in switching devices, the arch free, the risk of the electric shock and galvanic isolation of the low voltage dc power distribution system. Moreover, the advantages of using the multilevel converter with high switching frequency for high power density design and low THD are illustrated in the MATLAB/Simulink simulation results.
