Item type:Publication, Structural, optical, and electrical properties via two simple routes for the synthesis of multi-phase potassium antimony oxide thin films(2022-07-15) ;Homcheunjit, Ratchaneekorn ;Pluengphon, Prayoonsak ;Tubtimtae, AuttasitTeesetsopon, PichananMulti-phase ternary oxide glass thin films of potassium antimony oxide were synthesized via dip coating (DC) and spray pyrolysis (SP) methods. The growth of thin film was conducted on a non-conductive borosilicate glass substrate. Surface morphology was investigated and showed different characteristics. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis revealed the peaks corresponded to the monoclinic KSb<inf>3</inf>O<inf>5</inf> and K<inf>2</inf>Sb<inf>4</inf>O<inf>11</inf> phases. The structural parameter analysis shows that the lower values of micro strain (ε), dislocation density (δ), and stacking fault probability (SF) with higher number (N) of particle in the multi-phase thin film for the spray pyrolysis method confirm slightly larger crystallite size, less crystal imperfection, and less structural disorder. The lower average transmission, absorption, and extinction coefficients resulted to higher refractive index, permittivity, and electrical susceptibility for the sample synthesized by a spray pyrolysis method. In addition, the average energy band gap values (E<inf>g</inf>) of 3.57 and 3.60 eV were obtained for the dip coating and spray pyrolysis methods, respectively. However, the lower R<inf>s</inf> (14.69 × 107 Ω/sq.) with higher σ<inf>h</inf> (85.09 S/cm) and the FOM<inf>(H-HR)</inf> (0.183 Ω-1) of the multi-phase K–Sb–O thin film for the dip coating method were obtained may be due to more interconnections generated at the interface and there are less residual on the surface of thin film. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Characterization and hydrogen storage capacity analysis of dip coated lithium aluminium hydride thin films(2021-01-01) ;Choawarot, Chusak ;Siriwongrungson, Vilailuck ;Hongrapipat, Janjira ;Pang, ShushengMessner, MichaelComplex metal hydrides are one of the most effective hydrogen storage materials due to their unique property to absorb and desorb hydrogen with the hydrogen storage capacity of about 5-7 wt%. In this study, lithium aluminium hydride (LiAlH4) was coated on glass substrate using dip coating method. The coating conditions investigated were LiAlH4 concentrations of 6 g/l, 10 g/l and 20 g/l and post-annealing time from 0 to 60 min. Phase and grain size of the deposited LiAlH4 were analyzed using X-ray powder diffraction (XRD). Scanning electron microscope (SEM) was used for surface morphology analysis. The hydrogen storage capacity of the deposited thin films was analyzed using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The experimental results revealed that the phase of the deposited LiAlH4 thin films on glass substrate were mixed with lithium aluminium hydroxide hydrate (LiAl2(OH)7·2H2O) and lithium hexahydroaluminate (Li3AlH6). The intensity of the LiAl2(OH)7·2H2O and LiAlH4 peaks tends to decrease with increasing LiAlH4 concentration and post-annealing time while the intensity of the Li3AlH6 peaks increased with increasing LiAlH4 concentration and post-annealing time. The grain size was decreased with increasing LiAlH4 concentration and post-annealing time. The smaller grain size the better the hydrogen storage capacity. The hydrogen storage capacity of the deposited LiAlH4 thin film was increased from 0.124 wt % using LiAlH4 concentration of 6 g/l without post-annealing to 1.675 wt % using LiAlH4 concentration of 20 g/l with 60 min post-annealing time. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Anatase/Rutile TiO2 composite thin films prepared via dip coating technique and their hydrophilicity, stability and photocatalytic activity(2018-01-01) ;Ibrahim, Ammar ;Phoohinkong, Weerachon ;Mekprasart, WanichayaPecharapa, WisanuIn this work, titanium dioxide (TiO<inf>2</inf>) mixed-phase powders were prepared by sonochemical process in combination with calcination at different temperature in range of 400C to 1000C. The as-prepared powders were dispersed with tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) as supported matrix of TiO<inf>2</inf> for homogeneous colloid and used as starting precursor for thin film coating. The designated thin films were deposited onto glass substrates by dip coating process. X-ray diffraction technique was employed to evaluate TiO<inf>2</inf> phase ratio meanwhile the film morphologies and hydrophilicity were investigated using scanning electron microscope and water contact angle, respectively. UV-Vis spectrophotometer was used to analyse the photcatalytic properties of the films. Photocatalytic activity of the prepared film was performed by mean of the decolorization of Rhodamine B dye solution under solar irradiation. The photocatalytic performance of assigned films was investigated and correlated mechanisms responsible for the activity are discussed. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, CPC photocatalytic reactor in presence of immobilized tio 2 and photocatalytic activity(2017-07-01) ;Ibrahim, Ammar ;Phoohinkong, Weerachon ;Mekprasart, WanichayaPecharapa, WisanuIn this present work, compound parabolic collector (CPC) combined with tubular reactors was designed to accept both directly incident and reflected light. The light collecting of CPC reflecter was analysed via light reflection modeling. Titanium isopropoxide was used as a precursor to prepare immobilized titanium dioxide on the borosilicate beads which was used as supporter. The coated beads were prepared via dip coating technique. The photocatalytic activity of immobilized TiO <inf>2</inf> was performed to decolorize the Rhodamine B dye solution under solar irradiation. UV-Vis spectrophotometer was used to characterize the degradation of rhodamine B dye solution and to analyse the photocatalytic performance. The analysis of reflecting on CPC reflector indicates that all incidents are reflected to reactor tube according to the defined concentration ratio as equal one. The photodegradation of rhodamine B dye solution under solar irradiation is clearly observed by over 90% in presence of immobilized TiO <inf>2</inf> on glass beads.
