    The performance plays a key role in the long-term survival of the organizations. If the performance of the organization increases, then the organization may lead in the global perspective. There are various factors that could lead to the performance. Among those, the supply chain management practices (SCMP) play an important role to increase the performance. The SCMP factors may also enhance the competitive advantage of the organizations. Furthermore, the manager support may provide insight to manage the SCM activities which could aid enhance firm performance (FP). Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the SCMP and FP with the moderating and mediating effect in the chemical industry of Thailand. The data was collected from the supply chain managers by using a simple random technique. The SEM direct effect shows that SCMA had a significant and positive connection with firm performance FP. In addition, SCMP does not seem to have any significant relationship with the competitive advantage. While competitive advantage has a positive and significant effect on FP. On the other hand, the indirect effect shows that SCMP and FP relationship were partially mediated from the competitive advantage. Moreover, the manager's support did not significantly moderate the SCMP and FP relationship. The current study added literature in the extant literature in the form of empirical findings which could help the researchers explore their studies in future. The study may also provide help to owners as well as to shareholders to know about the importance of the SCMP, competitive advantage and managers' support to increase their FP.

    P-Median Model for Locating Emergency Flood Shelters
    (2023-01-01)
    Na Ayuhdya, Wichitsawat Suksawat
    Nong Khai and Udon Thani provinces since these two provinces are on the south bank opposite Vientiane. However, Floods during the monsoon season caused problems, and the drainage infrastructure project is not complete. Therefore, the authority must prepare a response, mitigation, and recovery plan. So, the key element of this plan is to find suitable locations for emergency flood shelters while reducing transportation costs. In this paper, the scenario-based facility location model was used to locate emergency flood shelters. Historical data for detour routes and population size were also incorporated. Two scenarios were run. The optimization model was tested against data from the years 2017, 2018, and 2019. Numerical results show that Mueang Udon Thani and 3-Nong Han are the key districts for emergency flood shelters.

    A methodology and case study to assess SCOR-make agility measures under uncertainties
    (2020-07-01) ;
    Yenradee, Pisal
    An assessment of agility is not an easy task since agility has been differently defined in literature, and it is not convenient to measure by experiment in practice. The objective of this paper is to propose a methodology to assess the agility performance under uncertainties based on level 1 of SCOR-Make process metric including the upside make flexibility (AG1.1), upside make adaptability (AG1.2), and downsize make adaptability (AG1.3). The proposed methodology consists of predictive models, which are a deterministic linear programming (LP) model and LP model with uncertainties, and algorithms to assess the agility measures. A case study of a bottled-water factory is conducted to demonstrate the application of the proposed methodology. The case study shows that the proposed methodology can effectively determine the agility measures. It can also be adapted to answer other agility related practical questions that are different from the SCOR definition.
