Item type:Publication, High Quality-Factor Shadow Bandpass Filters with Orthogonality to the Characteristic Frequency(2020-06-01) ;Buakaew, Seangrawee ;Narksarp, WipavanWongtaychatham, ChariyaThe paper proposes the topology and implementation of the shadow bandpass filter. The main advantage of this work is that the bandpass filter possesses the distinctively high-quality factor whereas the control of this quality factor is independent with the tunability of the characteristic frequency. The circuit configuration is realized and satisfactorily verified via PSpice simulation. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Shadow bandpass filter with Q-improvement(2019-07-01) ;Buakaew, Seangrawee ;Narksarp, WipavanWongtaychatham, ChariyaA new architecture of the shadow bandpass filters with the quality factor improvement is proposed. The presented idea employs external amplifiers cooperating with the classical biquad cell resulting in convenient electronic tunability of the characteristic frequency and the quality factor. The scheme obtains the benefit of the quality factor-improvement via feedback gains of the external amplifiers. The theory is verified by PSPICE simulation using 0.18 μm CMOS technology model parameters. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Fully active and minimal shadow bandpass filter(2018-08-13) ;Buakaew, Seangrawee ;Narksarp, WipavanWongtaychatham, ChariyaA new topology of shadow bandpass filters is presented in this paper. The proposed circuit employs the active building block of three voltage differencing transconductance amplifiers (VDTA) along with two grounded capacitors. This results in an additional attractive feature of being fully active and minimal component-count. Practical realization of the VDTA is also given and employed for circuit verification. PSPICE simulation with model parameters of 0.18μ m CMOS technology is included to confirm the filter functionality of the proposed filter. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, A voltage-mode first order allpass filter based on VDTA(2014-01-01) ;Maneewan, Suwat ;Udorn, Nawee ;Duangmalai, Danupat ;Silapan, PhamornJaikla, WinaiThis article presents a new voltage-mode first order allpass filter (APF) employing voltage differencing transconductance amplifier (VDTA). The advantages of the circuit are that: the circuit description is very compact, consists of merely a VDTA and a capacitor: the phase shift can be electronically adjusted by current bias: it provides the lower THD of the output signal. Without any component matching conditions, the proposed circuit is very appropriate to further develop into an integrated circuit. Moreover, the proposed APF can provide the output current with high output impedance without modification of the circuit topology. The PSpice simulation results are depicted. The given results agree well with the theoretical anticipation. The maximum power consumption is 400μ W at ±1.25V power supplies. © 2014 Advances in electrical and electronic engineering. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, High input impedance mixed-mode biquad filter with orthogonal tune of natural frequency and quality factor(2014-01-01) ;Chumwangwapee, Kanokrat ;Jaikla, Winai ;Sunthonkanokpong, Wisuit ;Jaikhang, WipobhManeewan, SuwatThis paper deals with a single-input multiple-output mixed-mode second-order filter providing two voltage-mode functions (low-pass and band-pass) and three transconductance-mode functions (low-pass, band-pass and band-reject) based on voltage differencing transconductance amplifier (VDTA). The quality factor and pole frequency can be electronically and orthogonally tuned via the bias current. The proposed circuit uses two VDTAs and two grounded capacitors without any external resistors, which is suitable to further develop into an integrated circuit. Moreover, the circuit possesses high input impedance, providing easy cascading. The PSPICE simulation results are included, verifying the key characteristics of the proposed filter. The given results agree well with the theoretical presumptions. © 2014 IEEE. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, New quadrature sinusoidal oscillator with amplitude controllability(2014-01-01) ;Chandee, Sasithon ;Jaikla, Winai ;Suwanjan, Peerawut ;Pookrongtong, NattaponKwawsibsam, AdisornThe quadrature sinusoidal oscillator employing two voltage differencing tranconductance amplifiers (VDTAs) has been proposed. The condition of oscillation (CO) and frequency of oscillation (FO) can be independently controlled by adjusting the bias current of two VDTAs. The oscillator can provide two output voltages as quadrature waveform and one output current with magnitude controllability. It consists of two VDTAs and two grounded capacitors which is then suitable for IC architecture. The Pspice simulation results using 0.25μm TSMC CMOS parameters have justified the theoretical anticipation. © 2014 IEEE. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Three input single output voltage-mode multifunction filter with independent control of pole frequency and quality factor(2013-01-01) ;Mekhum, WitthayaJaikla, WinaiThis paper presents a voltage-mode biquadratic filter performing completely standard functions: low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, band-reject and all-pass functions, based on single voltage differencing transconductance amplifier (VDTA). The proposed filter has three input voltage and a single output voltage. The features of the circuit are that; the quality factor and natural frequency can be tuned independently; the circuit description is very simple, consisting of merely one VDTA, one resistor and two capacitors; the pole frequency can be electronically adjusted. Additionally, each function response can be selected by suitably selecting input signals with digital method; the double input voltage is not required. Using only single active element, the proposed circuit is very suitable to further develop into an integrated circuit. The PSPICE simulation results are depicted. The given results agree well with the theoretical anticipation. © 2013 ADVANCES IN ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Simple quadrature sinusoidal oscillator with orthogonal control using sigle active element(2012-12-01) ;Pourak, Thanpong ;Suwanjan, Peerawut ;Jaikla, WinaiManeewan, SuwatThe voltage-mode quadrature sinusoidal oscillator using single voltage differencing tranconductance amplifier (VDTA) and grounded elements is presented. The proposed oscillator can provide 2 sinusoidal output voltages with 90° phase difference. The condition of oscillation (CO) and frequency of oscillation can be electronically/orthogonally controlled by adjusting the bias current of the VDTA. The use of only grounded elements is ideal for integration. The PSpice simulation results are depicted. The given results agree well with the theoretical anticipation. © 2012 IEEE.
