Item type:Publication, Experimental Study and Modeling of Automatic Home Energy Management System Using AI(2021-01-01) ;Pranee, PiyanutJirasuwankul, NirudhThis paper proposes an experimental study and modeling of Fuzzy logic based-AI for home energy management system. The management model has been designed for home in the subtropical climate zone-like, i.e., Thailand, which having yearly and monthly average temperature of 28°c and 30-38°c in the hottest season respectively. The studied system model comprises of the grid-connected load of home appliances, air conditioner, type-1 EV charger and solar rooftop PV supply. The objective of energy management is to minimize grid power consuming as well as maximizing solar PV utilization with 24-hour load profile, principally running of air conditioner and EV charging load. By testing the proposed management system comparatively to the generic system without managing scheme, energy saving of 43.90% can be achieved under the same operating and environmental conditions. Those are illustrated by the simulation results. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Analysis of electric current by using MySQL database on web server for machine performance evaluation: A case study of air conditioning system(2020-10-13) ;Sriratana, Witsarut ;Khagwian, VittayaSatthamsakul, SuthamThis study developed a performance analyzing system for industrial machines by using an air conditioning system as a case study. Electricity consumption of the air conditioner compressor operating normally under controlled temperature in the room was gathered by applying the principle of quantitative data collection. Work efficiency of the system was analyzed by using the big data pattern. Due to sufficient information, it can further contribute to the application of AI (Artificial Intelligence) in analysis of the failures or causes of machine malfunctions. Data collecting system in this study was designed to analyze electric current and various parameters including power voltage, temperature and humidity, real power and power factor in order to recheck as well as increase the reliability of the system. All collected data were stored in the MySQL database on a web server and managed by phpMyAdmin that could allow users to access the information chronologically on daily, monthly, or yearly basis via a computer screen. The test results showed that the designed system was accurate with a small variation about 0.07 A or 1.78% compared to the standard digital ammeter. For power voltage, an average difference compared to the standard digital voltmeter was approximately 0.4 V or about 0.17%. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Study on using the ground as a heat sink for a 12,000-Btu/h modified air conditioner(2009-03-01) ;Permchart, W.Tanatvanit, S.This paper presents the results of the experimental tests of the cooling performance of a 12,000-Btu/h modified air conditioner (referred to as M-AC) that use the ground as a heat sink of a condenser. In the tests, cooling capacity of M-AC with an optimal length of a condensing coil as well as life expectancy of copper coil buried underground were investigated. The lengths of copper coil fabricated and used as condenser coil of M-AC were set at 67, 50, 40 and 30 m whereas that of a 12,000-Btu/h conventional split-type air conditioner (referred to as C-AC) was about 22 m. The results showed that the ground can absorb heat rejected from a condenser of M-AC. The coefficient of performance (COP) of C-AC was about 2.5 whereas those of M-AC were found to be higher. It was found that the values of COP of M-AC with condensing coils of 67, 50 and 40 m long were about 6.9, 5.5 and 3.3, respectively, while that of 30-m-long one was found to be about 2.1. The electrical consumptions of M-AC were found lower than that of C-AC in the range of 11.5 - 15.5%. Additionally, life expectancy of underground condensing coil of M-AC was found to be over 7 years. © 2009 WASET.ORG.
