Item type:Publication, Analysis of PWM strategy for reduction of conducted electromagnetic interference in an adjustable-speed AC motor drive(2013-01-01)This paper presents various pulse width modulation (PWM) strategies capable of reducing conducted electromagnetic interference (EMI) generated in PWM voltage-source inverter systems. EMI problems caused by both conducted and radiated noise emissions have become a great concern in electrical/electronic systems. Thus, their effects are currently considerably taken into account in circuit design phase in order to restrict or reduce these severe problems. The proposed PWM strategy, which is one of different traditional and/or novel reduction techniques to solve such a problem, is chosen as an EMI reduction method and studied herein. The simulated results show that active vector PWM strategy seems to be a good alternative for inverter system. The impact of dead time of PWM signals is also investigated and discussed. © 2013 Praise Worthy Prize S.r.l. - All rights reserved. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Simplified conducted electromagnetic interference prediction for DC-DC converters(2010-12-01)Tarateeraseth, VuttiponThe aim of this paper is to provide a simplified methodology for conducted electromagnetic interference (EMI) predictions of DC-DC converters using two classical simulation approaches: time domain and frequency domain simulations. The boost converter is investigated and modeled using information provided by manufacturers without any measurements beforehand. By proposed simulation techniques, it is possible to fast approximate conducted EMI with reasonable accuracy at design stage. Finally, the validity of proposed models is proved by comparing the simulated results with measured results in terms of common mode, differential mode and total noises at frequency range from 150 kHz to 30 MHz. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Evaluation of conducted EMI emissions on ZVZCS PWM dc-dc converters with a fixed switching frequency(2005-12-01); Songboonkaew, J.This paper presents a comparative study between a Zero-Voltage and Zero-Current Switching Full-Bridge (ZVZCS-FB) dc-dc converter and ZVZCS-Three-Level (TL) dc-dc converter. Both converters uses Phase-Shifted PulseWidth Modulation (PS-PWM) strategy. The paper describes the operating characteristics and analyzes the performance of both converters, includes a comparison of conducted ElectroMagnetic Interference (EMI) emissions from both converters, and provides experimental results that are in good agreement with the theoretical ones. © 2005 IEEE. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Controlling conducted EMI emission on a Buck-boost converter using gate controlled circuit(2002-01-01) ;Kaewchal, Jamraj ;Khangern, WerachetNitta, SbuicfaiThe suppression of conducted EMI emissions of a Buck-boost converter using a gate controlled circuit is presented. The results indicate that the conducted EMI could he suppressed by conrolling the rise and fall time of gate signal for a MOSFET as a switching device. The simulated results of Buckboost converter at 100 kHz switching frequency of are compared with the experimental results. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, The characteristics of conducted EMI emission on PWM inverters with various PWM patterns(2002-01-01) ;Karanun, K. ;Khan-Ngern, W.Nitta, S.In this paper, characteristics of conducted electromagnetic interference (EMI) emissions of three phase voltage source PWM inverters are presented. The conducted EMI emission levels of PWM inverters on various patterns: SPWM, DPWM60° and THIPWM techniques are focused. The experimental results of common mode EMI noises from the inverters are analyzed at the different modulation index and at various frequencies conditions. The results show the phenomena of EMI noises from the PWM inverters affect to intra systems.
