Item type:Publication, The effects of multi-distributed generator on distribution system reliability(2018-06-08) ;Ngaopitakkul, A.Jettanasen, C.The paper investigates on the effects of multi- distributed generators (multi-DG) integrated to distribution system in terms of reliability indices. The distributed generators (DGs) under this study are solar photovoltaic (PV) connected to a 22 kV distribution system. In addition, it presents to determine the system average interruption frequency index (SAIFI), the system average interruption duration index (SAIDI) and outage cost as reliability indices by comparing the SAIFI, SAIDI and outage cost (ECOST) of the cases that multi-DG is connected to a distribution system. The reliability indices will be calculated using data obtaining from simulation and analysis of power distribution system model created in DIgSILENT PowerFactory. The overall results can be summarized by focusing on the capacity of DGs and the location of DGs, which are important factors capable of affecting the reliability indices. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Power loss analysis in distribution system comprising photovoltaic energy source(2017-01-30) ;Chiradeja, P.Pothisarn, C.The impact of power loss when renewable energy source is installed in distribution system is investigated. The distribution system is transferred from 115 kV, and 100 MVA into level of laboratory voltage 400 V, 150 VA distribution system converted by per-unit to 400 V, 150 VA using per-unit technique while the renewable source is simulated by using the simulator DC power (or photovoltaic simulator) with micro inverter. To study the characteristics and variation of power loss in distribution model, the size of load, and the location of renewable source are performed. The obtained result from experimental setup has been analyzed in terms of power loss. It can be seen that the distribution system can reduce the power loss when the renewable source is suitably interconnected in the distribution system. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Optimal Allocation of Multi-DG on Distribution System Reliability and Power Losses Using Differential Evolution Algorithm(2017-01-01) ;Chiradeja, Pathomthat ;Yoomak, SuntitiNgaopitakkul, AtthapolThe paper proposes the effects of multi-distributed generators (multi-DGs), which is integrated into the distribution system in terms of reliability indices and power losses. The distributed generators (DGs) under the study are connected to the distribution system at 22 kV of Thanyaburi substation on the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA), which is a part of distribution system in Thailand. Multi-objective functions are considered the effects of multi-DG to improve system reliability and power losses. Moreover, this paper has proposed to determine the system average interruption frequency index (SAIFI), the system average interruption duration index (SAIDI) and the expected interruption cost (ECOST) are evaluate as reliability indices and determine active power loss (P<inf>loss</inf>) and reactive power loss (Q<inf>loss</inf>) of power losses in distribution system. The optimal allocation of multi-distributed generators on distribution system reliability and power losses using Differential Evolution algorithm in MATLAB calculated and investigated in DIgSILENT Power Factory program. Aggregated results can be concluded by focuses on the placement and sizing of multi-DG, which are important factors that impacting the reliability indices and power losses.
