This research aims to understand malware from malware author's view. Starting from Ransomware, we attempt to develop ransomware written in python and encrypt all files in Windows platform without doing harm to crucial system files. In this research we use Asus K550J laptop with Windows 10 education (Build 19042) as a victim machine. We ran encryption and decryption program with different privilege and observe the results as well as time takes to encrypt and decrypt files. Results show that encryption process is much slower than decryption process and both encryption and decryption work slower in the bigger file size.

A new image encryption algorithm that uses one dimensional logistic map combined with perceptron model is proposed. The algorithm uses logistic map to produce pseudo random sequences, which are used sequences of keys to specify the weights of the perceptron. The, perceptron is used to encrypt the pixels of the image. The approach is also equipped with the novel Cipher Stream Chaining Process (CSCP), making it highly sensitive to given image. Our work is evaluated against histogram analysis, information entropy, key sensitivity analysis. Experiment results show that, the cipher image does not give out any information on the plain image and the algorithm is highly sensitive to plain image and key.

In this paper, an application for medical image encryption and watermarking to store patient information is proposed. By using scrambling algorithm, the 1st view patient information is hidden and require unique patient password to access a real image. For watermarking scene, a Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) and Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) are applied to non-overlapping block size 8x8 image pixels. Later, a DWT and DCT coefficient value are compared in each block for position identification of embed message in medical image. To improve high capacity and imperceptibility in watermarking step, a Two Dimension Barcode ECC200 standard is used to convert message before embed to cover image. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed scheme achieves better performance of imperceptibility.

2D barcode can be found largely at product of department store. The general purpose of 2D barcode is to identify product. Process of 2D barcode is run in the assembly production line. Nowadays, the simple 2D barcode can be easily copied. Then, this paper proposes new technique to generate 2D barcode. The technique is multi encryption by chaotic equation that is very difficult to reproduce. In experimental design, 2D barcode can be used only one-time and can be recorded into decoding system to protect repeating. This paper has led to real benefit for Fresh Group company limited in Thailand.
