Item type:Publication, A dynamic routing for load distribution in mobile Ad-Hoc network(2018-01-01) ;Rungtaveesak, Metha ;Chartkajekaew, Noppawit; ;Narongkhachavana, WorrawatMobile Ad Hoc Network is a group of mobile nodes which can communicate with each other directly without infrastructure device. Most conventional protocols do not consider energy on route discovery. Route breaks may occur frequently since the energy of some intermediate nodes exhausts. This interrupts the packet forwarding. In this paper, we propose load distribution algorithm based on remaining energy of nodes to prolong network lifetime and load balancing. Simulation results show that our work can increase the number of remaining nodes in the network while maintaining high packet delivery ratio.2 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Location-based routing scheme with adaptive request zone in mobile ad hoc networks(2013-01-01) ;Kirdpipat, PutthiphongThipchaksurat, SakchaiRoute discovery process is a major mechanism in the most routing protocols in Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET). Routing overhead is one of the problems caused by broadcasting the route discovery packet. To reduce the routing overhead, the location-based routing schemes have been proposed. In this paper, we propose our scheme called Location-based Routing scheme with Adaptive Request Zone (LoRAReZ). In LoRAReZ scheme, the size of expected zone is set adaptively depending on the dis-tance between source and destination nodes. Computer simulation has been conducted to show the effectiveness of our propose scheme. We evalu-ate the performances of LoRAReZ scheme in the terms of packet delivery fraction (PDF), routing overhead, average end-to-end delay, throughput, packet collision, average hop count, average route setup time, and power consumption. We compare those performance metrics with those of Lo-cation Aided Routing (LAR) and Location Aware Routing Protocol with Dynamic Adaptation of Request Zone (LARDAR) protocols. The simula-tion results show that LoRAReZ can provide all the better performances among those of LAR and LARDAR schemes. © 2013 The Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers.1 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Buffer and loss monitoring for the control of multimedia data streaming rate on mobile ad hoc networks(2009-12-01) ;Chaksaen, SupatachSathitwiriyawong, ChanboonMobile ad hoc networks (MANET) have been the subject of active research for a number of years. The transmission of multimedia streaming in MANET is important and necessary to use for many functions, such as public safety, emergency response, disaster recovery, and military. Buffer monitoring is a simple technique to deal with networks with low delay variations while packet loss monitoring is best for networks with high delay variations. This paper proposes a transmission control mechanism for multimedia data streaming on MANET by using the collaboration of buffer monitoring and packet loss monitoring. This method is very effective in improving the reliability and flexibility for the transmission of multimedia data streaming. It can reduce suspend time and packet loss rate of multimedia presentation over a wide range of network situations. Copyright © 2009 ACM. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Performance improvement of dynamic source routing protocol for multimedia services in mobile ad hoc network(2006-11-02) ;Taing, Nguon ;Thipchaksurat, Sakchai ;Varakulsiripunth, RuttikornIshii, HiroshiAll mobile nodes participating in a group communicate with one another in the group through a shared radio link without cable or backbone composes an infrastructureless network, called Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET). Because network topology may be changed at any time as result of mobility of nodes and the failure of available routes, Quality-ofService (QoS) of real-time multimedia application may have difficulty in satisfying their services. In this paper, we propose a routing scheme for multimedia services called Modified Dynamic Source Routing (MDSR) protocol. The MDSR selects the shortest path by using power level. Our proposed scheme provides lower average delay and mean number of hop path from source to destination than DSR protocol can provide. © 2006 IEEE. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Routing scheme for multimedia services in mobile Ad hoc network(2005-12-01) ;Taing, Nguon ;Thipchaksurat, Sakchai ;Varakulsiripunth, RuttikornIshii, HiroshiAll communications in a network made by mobile hosts through a shared radio link without cable or backbone, commonly called Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET). Since the network topology may change constantly because of mobility of nodes and the available routes may fail many times, Quality-of-Service (QoS) of real-time multimedia application may have difficulty in satisfying their services. In this paper, we propose a Routing Scheme for Multimedia Services, which selects the shortest path by using power level Our proposed scheme provides not only the lower means number of hops path from source node to destination node, but also higher thoughput than the conventional scheme. © 2005 IEEE. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, A policy based negotiation protocol for services agreement in mobile(2005-12-01) ;Srifa, Nualparn; Varakulsiripunth, RuttikornIn this paper, we have proposed an approach of negotiation protocol for services agreement between two wireless nodes in ad hoc networks. Protocol principles are based on peculiarities of mobile nodes and mobile users on MANET, i.e., user autonomy, node functionality and resource management. Mobile users can use this negotiation protocol for defining its network functions in MANET based on their policy. Service level agreements between two wireless nodes can be renegotiated depending on current user's application requirements and available resources. Protocol is designed to be able to negotiate on many parameters such as route, link bandwidth or QoS. We also present a scenario in MANET to show the effectiveness of our proposed protocol. © 2005 IEEE.1
