Item type:Publication, Variable step-size algorithm for modified decision feedback equalizer turbo code DS/CDMA system based on SOVA decodin(2008-10-06) ;Udomsripaiboon, T. ;Rattarom, S. ;Hunta, S. ;Sanpote, V.Benjangkaprasert, C.In this paper a variable step-size algorithm for modified decision feedback adaptive equalizer (VS-MDFE) for turbo coded direct-sequence code division multiple access (DS/CDMA) communication system is presented. The modified decision feedback equalizer (MDFE) structure is based on the decision feedback equalizer (DFE) structure. The proposed adaptive equalizer is using a performance of the system to control the adaptation process of the MDFE. By this technique, the performances of the proposed adaptive equalizer cooperate with the attractive soft output Viterbi algorithm (SOVA) of turbo decoder for the DS/CDMA system provides a good statistical in non-stationary channel condition scenario. The simulation results confirm that the performance of the proposed system in terms of bit error rate has been improved over the conventional MDFE equalizer and the variable step-size algorithm for the conventional DFE. ©2008 IEEE. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, Adaptive feedback equalization receiver for DS-CDMA with turbo coded systems(2005-01-01) ;Chompoo, S. ;Benjangkaprasert, C. ;Anatrasirichai, N.Janchitrapongvej, K.In this paper, adaptive equalizer receiver for a turbo code direct sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) by using Least Mean Square (LMS) adaptive algorithm is presented. The proposed adaptive equalizer is based on finite impulse response (FIR) filter structure in which included Conventional Adaptive Equalizer, Decision Feedback Adaptive Equalizer and Feedback Adaptive Equalizer. The objective of the proposed equalizer is to minimize the bit error rate of the data due to the disturbances of noise and intersymbol interference phenomenon on the channel of the digital communication system. The computer simulation results shown that the proposed feedback adaptive equalizer provides a good bit error rate than the others one such as conventional adaptive equalizer, decision feedback adaptive equalizer. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Soft output decision feedback equalizer using variable step-size algorithm for turbo coded DS/CDMA systems(2005-01-01) ;Udomsripaiboon, T. ;Mingkwan, C. ;Benjangkaprasert, C. ;Sangaroon, O.Janchitrapongvej, K.This paper presents a new variable step-size algorithm on soft output adaptive decision feedback equalizer for turbo coded direct-sequence code division multiple access (DS/CDMA) systems. The proposed adaptive equalizer utilizes a performance of the system or by means of bit error rate to control the adaptation process of the equalizer and the new structure is based on the decision feedback equalizer. By this method, the performances of the proposed adaptive equalizer cooperate with the attractive Log-Maximum a posteriori (Log-MAP) algorithm of turbo decoder for the DS/CDMA system. It provides a good statistical in non-stationary channel condition scenario. The simulation results are shown the superior bit error rate performances of the proposed adaptive equalizer over other equalizers such as the finite impulse response equalizer and conventional decision feedback equalizer. © 2005 IEEE.
