Item type:Publication, Na2O-Gd2O3-Al2O3-P2O5 glass scintillator doped with Dy3+: X-rays and proton responses(2023-01-01) ;Wantana, N. ;Kaewnuam, E. ;Tariwong, Y. ;Quang, Nguyen DuyPakawanit, P.Dy3+:Na<inf>2</inf>O-Al<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf>-Gd<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf>-P<inf>2</inf>O<inf>5</inf> (Dy:NAGP) glasses were fabricated to investigate the capability for radiation responses. The influence of Dy<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf> concentration on glass properties was studied. The density and effective atomic number of glass increased with the addition of Dy<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf> content. The glasses absorbed the photons in the ultraviolet, visible light, and near-infrared region. In photoluminescence (PL) spectra, the obvious yellow emission at 574 nm and blue emission at 482 nm of Dy3+ were both generated by the direct excitation and the Gd-Dy energy transfer. The PL decay time of glasses was in the millisecond order. There was thermal quenching observed in temperature-dependent luminescence (TDL). The radioluminescence (RL) and protonluminescence (PrL) represented the emission pattern of Dy3+ similarly to PL spectra. The concentration quenching caused 0.50Dy:NAGP glass with the highest PL and RL emission intensity. The X-ray imaging of developed glass using a synchrotron light source was successfully imaged for the first time. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, White Light Emission and Judd-Ofelt Analysis of Dy3+ Doped Mixed Alkali Borate Glass for W-LEDs Material(2023-01-01) ;Jarucha, Nawarut ;Ruangtaweep, Yotsakit ;Nawarat, Poomirat ;Kanthang, PaisanLimsuwan, PichetThe Dy3+ doped lithium sodium potassium borate glasses with white light-emitting were prepared by the melt quenching technique. In this work, optical, photoluminescence properties and Judd-Ofelt analysis of borate glasses have been investigated. For optical properties, Dy3+ doped glasses showed the absorption in visible and near-infrared region, which originate from 6H<inf>15/2</inf> ground state to higher state. While the luminescence properties of Dy3+ doped glasses, the emission spectra were presented more intense at 484 nm (blue light) and 574 nm (yellow light) which are essential for white light emitting materials, whilst decay time decrease with an increase of Dy<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf> contents. The emission intensity of Dy3+ doped glasses were enhanced by adding Dy<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf> concentrations until 0.5 mol%, after that the emission intensities were decreased due to the concentration quenching effect. Judd-Ofelt is analyzed by using the absorption and photoluminescence results, The stimulated emission cross-section has been investigated in this work. The CIE 1931 chromaticity investigation shows that Dy3+ doped glass emitted light with white color. Hence, these glasses may be suitable candidates for use in W-LEDs material.
