This paper presents a new mixed-mode third-order quadrature sinusoidal oscillator employing one fully differential second-generation current conveyor (FDCCII), three capacitors and three resistors. The circuit provides two quadrature voltage outputs and two quadrature current outputs into single topology. The condition and frequency of oscillations can be orthogonally controlled. FDCCII-based 0.35±m CMOS process is used to implement and simulate the proposed oscillator.

A new mixed-mode quadrature oscillator using a single differential difference current conveyor transconductance amplifier (DDCCTA), two grounded resistors, and two grounded capacitors is presented. The proposed circuit provides both quadrature voltage and quadrature current outputs simultaneously. The condition of oscillation (CO) and frequency of oscillation (FO) of the circuit are orthogonally controllable. The circuit is beneficial to monolithic integrated circuit implementation by using all grounded passive components. Moreover, the active and passive sensitivities of the proposed configuration are low. The validity of the proposed oscillator has been established by PSPICE simulations using MIETEC 0.5 μm CMOS technology.

This paper presents a new electronically tunable mixed-mode quadrature sinusoidal oscillator using new allpass section as an building block. The oscillator is consisted of two allpass sections. Each allpass section employs one current-controlled current differencing transconductance amplifier and one grounded capacitor. The condition of oscillation and the frequency of oscillation can be controlled independently and electronically by adjusting the bias currents. The oscillator also offers two explicit quadrature voltage and quadrature current outputs into a single topology. The workability of the proposed structure is verified by PSPICE simulators based on 0.25 μm TSMC CMOS process. © 2013 IEEE.

This paper presents a new current-controlled mixed-mode third-order quadrature oscillator. The proposed structure employs one modified current-controlled current conveyor transconductance amplifier (MCCCCTA) and three grounded capacitors that can generate two quadrature voltage outputs and four quadrature current outputs. The use of grounded capacitor makes the proposed structure more suitable for integrated circuit implementation. The condition of oscillation and the frequency of oscillation can be controlled orthogonally and electronically by adjusting the biasing currents of the MCCCCTA. Simulation results verifying the theoretical analysis are also included. © 2012 IEEE.

Versatile voltage-mode quadrature oscillator circuit using DDCCs
    (2011-12-21)
    Kumngern, Montree
This paper presents a new versatile voltage-mode quadrature oscillator circuit using three differential difference current conveyors, two grounded capacitors and three grounded resistors. Unlike the previously reported quadrature oscillator, the proposed circuit can realize a quadrature oscillator and a universal filter without changing the circuit topology. When the circuit works as a quadrature oscillator, it provides the following advantages: the oscillation condition and oscillation frequency are orthogonally controllable and the circuit enjoy interactive frequency control. Alternatively, when the circuit functions as a universal filter, it can realize low-pass, band-pass, high-pass, band-stop and all-pass voltage responses. The parameters <inf>o</inf> and Q can be independently controlled. Simulation results verifying the theoretical analysis are also included. © 2011 IEEE.

This paper presents a new current-controlled mixed-mode quadrature oscillator using only a current controlled current differencing transconductance amplifier (CCCDTA), two grounded capacitors and one MOS resistor. The structure is beneficial to monolithic integrated circuit implementation. The proposed circuit provides two quadrature voltage outputs and two quadrature current outputs. The quadrature current outputs also offer the feature of high output impedance. The oscillation condition and the oscillation frequency of the oscillator are independently controllable. PSPICE simulation results which confirm the theoretical predictions are also given. © 2011 IEEE.

Simple self-instructional modules based on chaotic oscillators: Few blocks generating many patterns
    (2011-01-01)

Chaotic circuits have been widely used in the teaching of nonlinear dynamics disciplines, where a common practice is pedagogically based on the circuit point of view. Chua's circuit is the most popular platform for the demonstration of its components with rich dynamical patterns. However, engineering students majoring in control systems are more familiar with feedback systems rather than physical electronics with nonlinear components. This may lead to some difficulty in understanding the nonlinear properties of Chua's circuit, at least on first sight. This paper provides an alternative approach to teaching and learning chaotic oscillators by using the inherent understanding of feedback systems with simple modules at the undergraduate level. Utilizing the idea of chaotification, which means to make a nonchaotic module chaotic, the modules consist of only four blocks yet can generate more than thirty types of chaotic patterns via their various combinations. Conceptually, the blocks can be assembled as various mixed-mode chaotic circuits. Functionally, the blocks are easy-to-use in a Simulink-like fashion. Structurally, they are a LEGO-like educational kit. With low-cost implementation employing a few op-amps for each block, the newly proposed modules are simple, self-instructional and suitable for teaching and training students in school laboratories and in experimental environments. © 2011 World Scientific Publishing Company.

This paper presents a simple scheme for designing mixed-mode chaotic circuits using quadrature core oscillators. Two mixed-mode circuits are constructed by using a few operational amplifiers in suitable combination with some autonomous/nonautonomous second/third-order chaotic circuits. Simulation and experimental results have verified the simplicity and effectiveness of the new design. © 2010 World Scientific Publishing Company.
