Item type:Publication, Current-Mode Shadow Filter with Single-Input Multiple-Output Using Current-Controlled Current Conveyors with Controlled Current Gain(2024-01-01) ;Kumngern, Montree ;Khateb, Fabian ;Kulej, Tomasz ;Kyselak, MartinLerkvaranyu, SomkiatIn this paper, a novel current-mode shadow filter employing current-controlled current conveyors (CCCIIs) with controlled current gains is presented. The CCCII-based current-mode shadow filters are resistorless and can offer a number of advantages such as circuit simplicity and electronic tuning capability. The proposed shadow filters offer five filtering functions, i.e., low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, band-stop, and all-pass functions, in the same topology. Furthermore, no component matching condition is required to realize all the transfer functions. The natural frequency and quality factor adjustment is possible by using the CCCII current gains without the need to use external amplifiers, all capacitors are grounded, and the filter terminals offer low-input and high-output impedance. To verify the functionality and feasibility of the new topologies, the proposed circuits were simulated using SPICE and the transistor model process parameters NR100N (NPN) and PR100N (PNP) from AT&T’s bipolar arrays ALA400-CBIC-R. The simulation results are consistent with the theory. The CCCII experimental setup was designed using commercially available 2N3904 (NPN) and 2N3906 (PNP) transistors with a supply voltage of ±2.5 V. The measurement results confirm the performance of the designed filters. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Current-Mode First-Order Versatile Filter Using Translinear Current Conveyors with Controlled Current Gain(2023-07-01) ;Kumngern, Montree ;Jongchanachavawat, Wirote ;Phatsornsiri, Punnavich ;Wongprommoon, NatapongKhateb, FabianThis paper offers a new current-mode first-order versatile filter employing two translinear current conveyors with controlled current gain and one grounded capacitor. The proposed filter offers the following features: realization of first-order transfer functions of low-pass, high-pass, and all-pass current responses from single topology, availability of non-inverting and inverting transfer functions for all current responses, electronic control of current gain for all current responses, no requirement of component-matching conditions for realizing all current responses, low-input impedance and high-output impedance which are required for current-mode circuits, and electronic control of the pole frequency for all current responses. The proposed first-order versatile filter is used to realize a quadrature sinusoidal oscillator to confirm the advantage of the new topology. To confirm the functionality and workability of new circuits, the proposed circuit and its application are simulated by the SPICE program using transistor model process parameters NR100N (NPN) and PR100N (PNP) of bipolar arrays ALA400-CBIC-R from AT&T. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, A square-wave generator using ECCII(2017-07-02) ;Kumngern, Montree ;Suksaibul, PichaiLerkvaranyu, SomkiatThis paper presents a new square-wave generator using electronically tunable second-generation current conveyors (ECCII). The proposed circuit employs one ECCII, two resistors and one resistor. Unlike previous works, oscillating condition can be given by current gain of ECCII and the output frequency can be controlled by changing resistor. Both voltage and current signals can be obtained into a single topology. The proposed circuit is simulated using PSPICE simulators to confirm the workability of the circuit. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, CMOS D/A converter using current conveyor analogue switches(2017-01-18) ;Nonthaputha, Thanat ;Kumngern, MontreeMoungnoul, PhichetThis paper presents a new digital-to-analog (D/A) converter circuit using second-generation current conveyors (CCIIs) which works as analogue switches. In this case, CCII is worked as current conveyor analogue switch (CCAS). A bit stream of digital code is used to control the switch for obtaining the current level at the output terminal. Then, bits D/A converter can be obtained simply by parallel connecting of CCASs. The proposed structure is suitable for low power supply voltage. The simulation results are used to confirm the workability of the proposed structure. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, A Wien-type oscillator using ECCII(2017-01-18) ;Suksaibul, Pichai ;Lerkvaranyu, SomkiatKumngern, MontreeThis paper presents a new Wien-type oscillator using electronically tunable current conveyors (ECCII). Unlike previous Wien-type oscillators, the condition of oscillation of the proposed circuit can be controlled electronically using the current gain of ECCII. The structure is realized using grounded resistor which is easy for developing as a voltage-controlled oscillator. The condition and frequency of oscillations can be controlled orthogonally. PSPICE simulation results are given to confirm the presented theory. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, 0.5-V bulk-driven second-generation current conveyor(2015-01-14) ;Kumngern, MontreeKhateb, FabianThis paper presents a new bulk-driven second-generation current conveyor that is capable of ultra-low voltage signal processing applications. The proposed circuit operates under supply voltage of 0.5 V and also offers rail-to-rail input voltage swing. To confirm the operation of the proposed building active block, floating and grounded inductance simulations using the proposed circuits as active elements are presented. The performances of the proposed circuit are demonstrated using PSPICE simulators. Item type:Publication, Tunable sinusoidal oscillator using CCII with variable current gain(2013-01-01) ;Kumngern, Montree ;Phatsornsiri, PunnavichDejhan, KobchaiThis paper presents a new electronically tunable sinusoidal oscillator. The proposed oscillator is consisted of two second-generation current conveyors with variable current gain, two grounded capacitors, one grounded resistor and one floating resistor. Unlike previously oscillators, the condition and the frequency of oscillation of this oscillator can be controlled electronically and independently by adjusting the current gains of current conveyors. The proposed circuit is beneficial to monolithic integrated circuit implementation using only grounded capacitors. Simulation results that confirm the theoretical predictions are also given. © 2013 IEEE.
