The distance error model is applied to estimate the distance between the transmitter and user's position with different path loss exponent and fading amount of indoor channel. The total $\mathbf{1 0 0}$ coordinates of user's positions are estimated using min-max method. The distance error at each position, probability density function (PDF) and cumulative distribution function (CDF) of distance errors are illustrated. The mean of analysis distance error corresponds with the mean of measurement distance error with same path loss exponent and fading amount of indoor channel. The results show that it is possible to use this accuracy analysis to estimate the distance error in an indoor environment. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

The choice of 5.8 GHz frequency offers several advantages, including reduced interference and higher data transmission rates, enhancing the precision and reliability of localization systems. Utilizing Received Signal Strength (RSS) for distance calculation is employed due to its computational simplicity and efficiency. The proposed methodology employs a modified Min-Max technique for estimating positions, iterating the Min-Max process until the distance error aligns with a predefined threshold. Comparative evaluation using Cumulative Distribution Function (CDF) demonstrates improved accuracy compared to conventional Min-Max methods. The research findings indicate promising enhancements in accuracy and efficacy for indoor localization using WLAN technology at 5.8 GHz. These advancements hold significant potential for real-time indoor localization applications, paving the way for improved indoor navigation and tracking systems in the future. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

The popular use of localization system is the global position system (GPS). However, the system fails in particular environments such as indoors because low received signal power. It is not appropriate to take a position. The indoor localization system was used to assist in finding a position in an indoor environment. There are several techniques used to evaluate. Technique trilateration model is a technique of geometric. This technique leverages circular intersections to estimate target positions. The circles are derived from a set of reference positions. This paper studies on indoor positioning in line of sight (LOS) using by IEEE 802.15.4 standard in ultra wideband option which this study employs trilateration to estimate the position of target objects. Biconical antennas with vertical polarization serve as both transmitting and receiving elements. The evaluation is conducted using a vector network analyzer (VNA) across a frequency range of 3GHz to 11GHz. Item type:Item, A Study of Low Band UWB Localization with Wooden and Metal Bookshelves Based on Measurement Data(2024-01-01) ;Mankong, Thanadon ;Promwong, SathapornBunlaksananusorn, ChaninThis paper considers the potential of Impulse-Radio Ultra-Wideband (IR-UWB) technology which can be a barcodes replacement in bookshelf management systems. To assess its feasibility, we analyze IR-UWB propagation characteristics within bookshelf environments, particularly focusing on the impact of wooden and metal structures. A measurement-based evaluation scheme is employed, utilizing a vector network analyzer (VNA) alongside microstrip patch antennas for both the transmitter (Tx) and receiver (Rx) operating within a frequency range of 3.2GHz to 4.8GHz. The path loss, received signal strength (RSS), and cumulative distribution function (CDF) of the measured data are then analyzed to evaluate the suitability of IR-UWB for bookshelf management applications. Item type:Item, Performance Analysis of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Assisted Wireless IoT Sensors Based on Air-to-Ground Communication Model for Smart Farming(2023-01-01) ;Duangsuwan, SarunPromwong, SathapornWe used an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and IoT as a new platform for soil moisture monitoring based on the air-to-ground (A2G) communication model. We investigated an energyefficient UAV trajectory by considering the power outage probability and transmission rate for UAV-assisted wireless IoT sensor connectivity. We considered the closed-form power outage probability for IoT sensors located within the coverage zone of a UAV drone small cell. We conducted experiments in the Napier and Ruzi grass farms with IoT sensors for detecting soil moisture along a drip line irrigation system located in the fields. Item type:Item, Path Loss Analysis of RFID Channles Measurement in Library with Metal Bookshelves(2023-01-01) ;Supramongkonset, JatupornPromwong, SathapornThe radio frequency identification (RFID) library management system has gained popularity in libraries due to its convenience and improved efficiency. Accurate channel modeling is crucial for predicting system performance and received power. This paper focuses on modeling the channel characteristics of metal bookshelves in RFID library management systems operating at a frequency of 2.45 GHz. We employ microstrip patch antennas as both transmitter (Tx) and receiver (Rx) antennas, considering both vertical-vertical (V-V) and horizontal-horizontal (H-H) polarizations. Linear regression analysis models the path loss characteristic, allowing us to establish a mathematical relationship that accurately represents the path loss between the antennas. Furthermore, statistical models based on cumulative distribution function (CDF) are employed to characterize multipath fading, providing insights into the distribution of signal variations caused by multipath propagation. The experimental results indicate that metal bookshelves with V-V and H-H polarizations are suitable for the performance of RFID library management systems. The path loss models generated through linear regression analysis enable accurate prediction of received power, while the statistical models based on CDF contribute to a comprehensive understanding of multipath fading and its impact on system performance. This study provides valuable insights for librarians and system designers seeking to implement efficient and reliable RFID technology in library management systems. By examining and modeling the channel characteristics of metal bookshelves, our findings support the optimal use of V-V and H-H polarizations, ensuring the effective operation of RFID systems in library environments. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

However, the route discovery process of the location-Aided routing (LAR) is ineffective in void zone environments where data packets cannot reach their intended destination. To address this issue, this paper presents a new approach called Location-Aided base on trajectory that eliminates the void zone. The results demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms existing approaches in terms of reachability, making it a more robust alternative to the default location-Aided routing protocol. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

The purpose of this study is to establish a model to study the energy and efficiency of the system. Experimenting with two model of bookshelf models. Wood and metal bookshelves are used as models to measure data. Microstrip antenna are used as a transmitter (Tx antenna) and a receiver (Rx antenna) at frequency of 2.45 GHz channels in co-polarization. From the data of this measurement result, we can observe the tendency of path loss arising from the change in distance and the effect of the signal in both wood and metal bookshelf by the contouring of the path loss signal. The results showed that the co-polarization had higher path loss at increased distances. By path loss modeling using contour method it was found that at measuring point near the edge of the bookshelf There is path loss in the edge of metal bookshelf higher than the edges of wooden bookshelf. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Tracking the path of mobility from the initial point to the final destination is essential in numerous aspects of human life. This study presents a location-Aware computing application that facilitates the smooth integration of indoor and outdoor environments by combining both requirements within a smart device-based system, without any barriers. The proposed work utilizes the Global Positioning System (GPS) and the Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) to measure external conditions, while Wi-Fi Fingerprinting (Wi-Fi) is employed to accurately determine the user's indoor locations using received signal strength indicator. The integration of indoor and outdoor technologies ensures seamless user mobility. As users transition between different conditions, the system effectively addresses the complexities that arise between indoor and outdoor locations. The transition time between indoor and outdoor is less than 5 seconds, with seamless switching occurring in the overlapped areas. In our experiments conducted within a campus building, the system achieved a remarkable accuracy of 98.4% for outdoor-To-indoor movement and 97.7% for the reverse movement. Furthermore, the seamless location system offers significant benefits to users, including the discovery of new system features, access to directional maps, and guidance along pathways from their current locations. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

The TETRA standard was selected to be used for fulfill the railway operations requirement. Almost TETRA radio system, the configuration almost carried out with the leaky cable configuration This paper presents the experimental study of TETRA radio system with leaky cable configuration, that being used in the railway communication. The frequency being used are between 385-400 MHz. The result shows the calculated received power compared to the actual received signal with the position of train antenna that closed to the leaky cable, the distance is approx. 3 meters.
