Item type:Item, The adoption of electric vehicle in Thailand with the moderating role of charging infrastructure: an extension of a UTAUT(2024-01-01) ;Ahmad, Sheraz ;Chaveeesuk, SinghaChaiyasoonthorn, WornchanokElectric vehicles (EVs) have the potential to greatly reduce the amount of gasoline consumed and carbon emissions produced during transportation. Consequently, the Thai government actively advocates for the widespread use of electric vehicles (EVs). This study has examined the factors that influence the adoption of electric vehicles in Thailand, with the moderation of charging infrastructure. The research builds upon the UTAUT2 model and incorporates new elements such as environmental concerns, satisfaction with incentive policies, trust, and the availability of charging infrastructure. Environmental concerns, price value, and hedonic motivation significantly affect use behaviour through trust and behaviour intentions; however, facilitating conditions do not affect them. Habits positively affect use behaviour through behaviour intention, though factors such as effort expectancy and social influence satisfaction with policies showed insignificant results when affecting use behaviour. The moderating effect of charging infrastructure showed an insignificant result. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Item, Factors influencing consumer’s adoption of renewable energy(2021-09-01) ;Wall, William Philip ;Khalid, Bilal ;Urbański, MariuszKot, MichalThe objective of this study was to investigate the factors that influence the consumer adoption of renewable energy in Thailand. The study adopted an extended theory of planned behavior (TPB) by including three additional variables. The study applied a quantitative study methodology, with primary data collected using a survey of consumers in five major cities in Thailand. The data were analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM). The findings of the study indicated that perception of self-effectiveness, environmental concern, renewable energy awareness, and beliefs about renewable energy benefits have a significant and positive effect on consumers’ intention to adopt renewable energy. The cost of renewable was found to have a negative but non-significant influence on consumers’ adoption of renewable energy, while risk/trust perception was found to have a positive but non-significant influence on consumers’ adoption of renewable energy. The study concluded that stakeholders should take into account the aspects of perception of self-effectiveness, environmental concern, renewable energy awareness, and beliefs about renewable energy benefits when running campaigns to promote the consumer adoption of renewable energy in Thailand. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Item, Using multi criteria decision-making (MCMD) for green supplier selection(2019-06-01)Atthirawong, WalailakAt present, the level of consciousness and awareness about environmental problems are increasingly internationally concerned from society businesses and governments globally. A number of organizations have begun paying greater attention to diminish the harmful impact of business activities in terms of production, consumption and purchasing behavior which may affect the environment. Despite environmental concern, numerous consumers are willing to pay more for environmental benefits. Supplier selection process is a key role which helps the business to be success in a global arena. The appropriate supplier selection is one of the most important issues for any organization which affecting the total supply chain performance and the quality of final product. Thus, this paper proposes an approach for evaluation and ranking suppliers. In particular, the main focus of this study is to incorporate environmental responsibility requirements into supplier selection. An illustrate example in a cosmetic and beauty community enterprise was conducted to implement how to select the most suitable supplier using TOPSIS method. A set of criteria and sub-criteria were identified from a real case company. The decision was made on the basis of observation of three suppliers with four criteria and ten sub-criteria. The main contribution of this study provides a noteworthy tool to help decision makers in the selection process and reduce the subjective bias to some extent. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Item, An exploratory study on the organic food purchase intention among Thai-Cambodian cross-border consumers(2014-01-01) ;Pomsanam, Pisnu ;Napompech, K.Suwanmaneepong, S.Sustainable organic food consumption has begun to play an important and influential role in the purchasing decisions of millions of global consumers due to increasing concern about health and environmental issues. This study aims to explore the influence of attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, health consciousness and environmental concern on organic food purchase intentions among Thai-Cambodian cross-border consumers. A modified version of the theory of planned behavior was adopted as the research framework of study analysis and hypotheses. Data was collected from 400 Thai consumers in Sa Kaeo province, Thailand and 400 Cambodian consumers in Banteay Meanchey province, Cambodia. The regression results of Thai consumers indicate that all variables are significant and health consciousness and subjective norms were important and found to be the top two predictors of organic purchase intention. In contrast to Cambodian consumers, the results demonstrate that attitude and subjective norms have no positively significant relationship to purchase intention. However, health consciousness, environmental concern and perceived behavioral control can be used to predict the organic food purchasing intention of Cambodian consumers. © 2014 Knowledgia Review, Malaysia.
