Coupling between ports is effectively minimized using pin vias, which connects the meta-surface to the ground plane and functions as an LC resonator circuit to suppress useless frequencies. Here, L and C represent inductance and capacitance, respectively. Additionally, pin vias reduces mutual coupling by mitigating concentrated current distributions on the meta-surface components, achieving high isolation. The simulated results reveal a return loss bandwidth (RLBW) spanning 3.76-7.4 GHz (70% at a center frequency of 5.2 GHz) with isolation (S<inf>12</inf>) exceeding 19 dB. Furthermore, the envelope correlation coefficient is below 0.035, and the diversity gain reaches 9.82 dB. The antenna achieves a maximum gain of 5.54 dBi at 4.3 GHz. This demonstrates that the pin vias decoupling technique is highly effective for coupling reduction in meta-surface MIMO antennas. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

To satisfy the stringent latency and reliability demands of URLLC services, grant-free (GF) transmissions with the K-repetition transmission (K-Rep) have been introduced. However, fading fluctuations can negatively impact signal quality at the base station (BS), leading to an increase in the number of repetitions and raising concerns about interference and energy consumption for IoT user equipment (UE). To overcome these challenges, this paper proposes novel adaptive K-Rep control schemes that employ site diversity reception to enhance signal quality and reduce energy consumption. The performance evaluation demonstrates that the proposed adaptive K-Rep control schemes significantly improve communication reliability and reduce transmission energy consumption compared with the conventional K-Rep scheme, and then satisfy the URLLC requirements while reducing energy consumption. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Consequently, the open-source SCADA system is utilized to augment the control system's capabilities. This system will enable interactions among sensors, PLC, SCADA, HMI, and facilitate data storage in a cloud-based database. This integration ensures systematic and organized data collection, fostering efficient data analysis for operational processing within the biomass power plant system. Most cases of senile patients including immobile patients are necessary to be admitted to the hospital, and are bedridden, but the quantity of beds is insufficient for them. With this reason, plenty of them is unavoidable to cure at home, known as home care. However, for home care, no nurse always takes care, and no suitable medical device is fully equipped to monitor like in the hospital. This is problematic because some patients might not show any seen physical symptoms and not get immediate help leading to serious conditions or even death. To provide instant help to the bedridden patients, a real-time web-based health multimedia monitoring and notification system utilizing IoT technology is proposed. The presented approach uses two vital sign indicators, oxygen saturation (SpO2) and pulse rate (PR) as criteria to notify both medical personnel and a caregiver. The experimental results have shown that the proposed system can create a notification alert at once through different media with the accuracy of 100%. By applying the proposed system, emergency care can be delivered to the bedridden patients in time. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

There are two main parts consisting of IoT forklift vehicle and data transmitted system by MQTT protocol. Microservice can utilize data to process business logic and provides API. Inventory area includes a zone, a subzone and parking area for forklifts to scan QR code on each subzone. Data of forklifts is published to back-end service. Practicing firearms tactics results in shooting and maneuvering skills. The system consists of a laser gun that can determine the amount of ammunition used. The target of the armor has a sensor that receives laser light emitted by the gun. The guns and targets are controlled via a wireless network with a Node Micro Controller Unit (NodeMCU) connected to broker and can be displayed via computers, mobile phones and tablets. The IoT system uses protocol MQTT, the system used to store data on both sides of the device for response to the loss of network connection. The training is a gun fight between two players. The training is gun fighting between two players shooting guns against each other. The referee, commander and the audience can track the score of both players in real time. Item type:Item, Adaptive K-Repetition Transmission Employing Site Diversity Reception for 5G NR Uplink Grant-Free URLLC(2023-01-01) ;Dataesatu, Arif ;Sanada, Kosuke ;Hatano, Hiroyuki ;Mori, KazuoBoonsrimuang, PisitThe Internet of Things (IoT) is currently being employed for wireless real-time interactive systems with ultra-reliable and low-latency communications (URLLC) that provide high service quality for the fifth generation (5G) new radio (NR) standard. Grant-free (GF) transmission with K-Repetition (K-Rep) is a transmission technique that aims to meet the URLLC requirements. However, the K-Rep increases the number of packet transmissions, which may cause severe interference and substantial energy consumption. This paper employs site diversity reception to the GF K-Rep scheme and proposes its adaptive control mechanism to decrease the number of repeated transmissions in order to improve communication reliability and energy consumption for IoT URLLC users. According to our simulation results, the proposed site diversity reception for the K-Rep scheme can significantly improve the reliability compared with the conventional K-Rep under single-cell reception. Additionally, the proposed adaptive K-Rep control scheme can reduce the transmission energy consumption greatly, hence saving battery resource of IoT URLLC users. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

However, restrictions and unexpected occurrences may also influence people's decisions regarding their path at any given time. These factors can lead to challenges in managing foot traffic at largescale events. In response to these challenges, this paper proposes a data-driven web-based foot traffic management supporting dashboard for large-scale events based on limited pedestrian count data, consisting of sensor name, latitude, longitude, MAC address, Datetime, and RSSI, collected by Wi-Fi sensors around the Sendagaya area during the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympics. The results confirmed that our proposed web-based dashboard contributes to human behavior understanding and decision-supporting policymaking for foot traffic management, which improves the design of spectator movement between transportation and venues in large-scale events. Furthermore, the dashboard is valuable from various perspectives, including preventing crowd crushing, redesigning areas to increase engagement in the shopping district, and improving traffic management. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Item, LOW COST TELEMONITORING TECHNOLOGY OF SEMISPHERICAL SOLAR DRYER FOR DRYING ARABICA COFFEE BEANS(2022-01-01) ;Pramono, Eko Kuncoro ;Karim, Mirwan Ardiansyah ;Fudholi, Ahmad ;Bulan, RamayantyLapcharoensuk, RavipatThis study focusses on the development of a low-cost Internet of Things (IoT) system for semispherical solar dryers to dry arabica coffee beans. The temperatures and relative humidity (Rh) of a solar dryer room are measured using a DHT22 sensor module. The moisture content of hard arabica coffee beans is calculated by measuring the mass of the dried product using the load cell sensor module. All detected data are then sent using wireless networks and saved on a database cloud server. Tests are conducted to evaluate the uniformity of the DHT22 sensor module in a semispherical solar dryer, measure the temperature and Rh and reduce the mass of the dried coffee beans. The performance of the DHT22 sensor module at the uniformity testing stage shows promising results in terms of temperature and Rh, with standard deviations of 0.46 and 3.55, respectively. In addition, the performance of the semispherical solar dryer in relation to the drying kinetics of arabica coffee beans is evaluated. Arabica coffee beans are dried from 49.59% (w.b.) to 10% (w.b.) moisture content within 69 h. In addition, the drying kinetics of coffee arabica beans are investigated. Three models are compared with experimental data on arabica coffee beans dried in a semispherical solar dryer. The Page model is selected to represent the thin layer drying behaviour of arabica coffee beans. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Item, A Study of A2A Channel Modeling for Small UAV-Enabled Wireless Communication(2022-01-01) ;Supramongkonset, Jatuporn ;Duangsuwan, SarunPromwong, SathapornThe objective of this work is to study the ground reflection modeling case study of air-to-air (A2A) channel modeling for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-enabled wireless communications. We consider the Internet of Things (IoT) WiFi modules at 2.4 GHz standard enabled with the transmitter Tx- UAV and the receiver Rx-UAV. The received signal strength indicator (RSSI) and path loss characteristics are addressed by using the free space path loss (FSPL) model, air-to-air two- ray (A2AT-R) model, and the modified Log-distance path loss model. The measurement results indicated that the limit of power constraint of WiFi modules was a level at 10 m Rx-UAV altitude, and the received sensitivity was limited at -95 dBm. It is shown that the impact of ground reflection path loss was characterized at 1-3 m Rx-Uavaltitudes which are accordingly related to the A2AT-R model and the relative resulting with the modified Log- distance model above 4 m Rx-UAV altitudes.
