Item type:Item, A Beam-Scanning Array Antenna for LPWAN Base Station(2018-01-01) ;Ngamjanvaporn, Phaisan ;Phongcharoenpanich, ChuwongKrairiksh, MonaiThis paper presents a beam-scanning array antenna for LPWAN base station. The two-element array of the pattern reconfigurable Yagi-Uda antennas is designed at the 2.4 GHz ISM band to provide 360° beam-scanning. The characteristics of the array are simulated using the 4NEC2 simulator. By using the pattern reconfigurable elements and with non-uniform amplitude excitation, the simulated results show that the array provides 16 beams covering 360° with 7 dBi gain. Also, the S <inf>11</inf> bandwidth of the array is satisfied to the desired operating frequency. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Item, Dual-band conical-scanning Yagi-Uda antenna(2017-10-18) ;Kittiyanpunya, ChainarongKrairiksh, MonaiA dual-band conical-scanning Yagi-Uda antenna is presented. The proposed antenna is composed of dual-band director elements, dual-band driven elements, and planar reflectors which the alignment of each element is not on the same plane of the dual-band driven elements. The PIN diodes are used in order to change position of driven elements and directors. The patterns can be switched in four directions that main beams are in the zenith angle of 30°. It is shown that the dual-band antenna for 1 and 2 GHz operation achieves an impedance bandwidth of 8.5% and 12.5%, respectively. The front-to-back ratio of conical beams is higher than 8 dB. The antenna gain is around 6 dBi. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Item, A phase-shifterless beam scanning array antenna for agricultural applications(2017-07-02) ;Ngamjanyaporn, PhaisanKrairiksh, MonaiThis paper presents a phase-shifterless beam scanning array antenna that three elements of circular array are pattern reconfigurable Yagi-Uda antennas. To minimize the antenna complexity, instead of using four beams of each element, one element uses fixed beam while the other two elements can switch radiation pattern in two directions. The radiation characteristics of the array are simulated using 4NEC2 simulator to find out the suitable array parameters. The suitable element orientation of 45° and the array radius of 0.65λ, and with non-uniform amplitude excitation, the array provides four beams that cover 150° with gain 7-9 dBi. The array has been validated by experiments. The four beams of the array show good agreement with the simulated ones. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Item, Pattern reconfigurable printed Yagi-Uda antenna(2015-01-28) ;Kittiyanpunya, ChainarongKrairiksh, MonaiThis paper presents a pattern reconfigurable antenna which is based on Yagi-Uda dipole antenna. The antenna can operate at ISM band of 2.45 GHz. It consists of microstrip-to-coplanar stripline (CPS) transition, driven elements and parasitic elements. The switch of driven element can be controlled by using PIN diodes while parasitic element function can be either reflector or director with different PIN diode states. The maximum of radiation patterns are in azimuth plane with four directions around the antenna to the directions of O = 40°, 120°, 220° and 320°.
