Item type:Item, Enhancing ICT Literacy and Achievement: A TPACK-Based Blended Learning Model for Thai Business Administration Students(2024-05-01) ;Nantha, Cherisa ;Siripongdee, Kobchai ;Siripongdee, Surapong ;Pimdee, PaitoonKantathanawat, ThiyapornThe COVID-19 pandemic has heightened the need for 21st century skills, particularly computer and ICT literacy (CICT) in Thailand. This study aimed to develop a TPACK (Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge)-based blended learning model (BLM) to enhance CICT skills and academic performance among 179 Business Administration (BA) undergraduates in the 2022 academic year Computer and Information Applications course. Research instruments were designed and evaluated by experts. Over 18 weeks, qualitative and quantitative data were collected, with the qualitative data undergoing content analysis. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze quantitative data, comparing pretests, post-tests, and 2-week retests using a repeated measure ANOVA. One-sample t-tests were used to assess the model’s impact on CICT skills. The results showed a significant score improvement between tests, with the highest mean being seen in the 2-week retest. The BA-TPACK model significantly enhanced CICT skills, exceeding 80%. The students expressed high satisfaction, with the BA-TPACK model effectively enhancing CICT skills and academic achievement, recommending its integration into future computer and information courses. This study’s contribution lies in addressing the pressing need for CICT skills in the ‘new normal’. By developing and implementing a BLM grounded in the TPACK framework, this study not only enhances students’ CICT proficiency but also fills a crucial gap in the literature regarding effective pedagogical approaches to foster 21st century skills. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Item, Michelin-starred restaurant diner return willingness: A case study from Thailand(2024-01-01) ;Rattanaparinyanon, Harit ;Vuthisopon, Sujira ;Saengnoree, AmnuaySiripongdee, SurapongThis study investigates the factors influencing the return willingness (RW) of diners at Michelin-starred restaurants in Thailand. The focus is on understanding how service novelty (SN), new product innovation (NPI), culinary standards (CS), and diner satisfaction (DS) contribute to diners' intentions to return. A quantitative approach was employed using structural equation modeling (SEM) to analyze data collected from a sample of 320 diners. The study examined the direct and total effects of the variables on RW. The analysis revealed that service novelty, new product innovation, culinary standards, and diner satisfaction collectively account for 75% of the variance in return willingness (R² = 0.75). Service novelty, new product innovation, and culinary standards exhibit significant direct effects on return willingness, with total effect (TE) values of 0.87, 0.79, and 0.76, respectively. Diner satisfaction also significantly impacts return willingness, with a TE value of 0.42. All nine proposed hypotheses were supported, confirming the positive influence of SN, NPI, CS, and DS on diners' return willingness. The study underscores the critical role of continuous innovation, high culinary standards, and exceptional diner satisfaction in fostering repeat business. These factors are integral to enhancing customer loyalty at Michelin-starred restaurants in Thailand. The findings offer valuable insights for restaurant managers aiming to boost customer loyalty and sustain long-term success. Item type:Item, Antecedents to Haidilao Hot Pot Restaurant Consumer Loyalty in Bangkok(2024-01-01) ;Fan, Hairui ;Saengnoree, AmnuaySiripongdee, SurapongThis study's objective was to develop a structural equation model (SEM) of factors influencing consumer loyalty at Bangkok's Haidilao Hot Pot (HHP) Chinese restaurants. The study focused on consumers who visited the Central World Mall and Central Rama 9 Mall branches at least once during June and July 2023. The researchers used stratified random sampling to collect 312 questionnaires from the consumers surveyed. The questionnaire's validity and reliability were ensured through expert evaluation and pilot testing, with Cronbach's alpha values ranging from 0.81 to 0.89. Data were collected via an online questionnaire in both Thai and English and assessed for content validity and reliability. The SEM path analysis was conducted using LISREL 9.10, while SPSS for Windows 21 was used for descriptive statistics. Results indicated that all SEM factors positively influenced consumer loyalty, explaining 63% of the variance. The three most significant factors were service innovation (0.79), service quality (0.64), and service satisfaction (0.61). This study extends the limited post-COVID-19 literature on the Asian food and service sector by validating a comprehensive model of consumer loyalty specific to Chinese hot pot restaurants. It highlights the essential nature of service innovation, quality, and satisfaction in fostering consumer loyalty. The findings provide valuable insights for restaurant industry practitioners, highlighting the need to invest in service innovation and maintain high service quality to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. Item type:Item, How social media and peer learning influence student-teacher self-directed learning in an online world under the ‘New Normal’(2023-03-01) ;Pimdee, Paitoon ;Ridhikerd, Attaporn ;Moto, Sangutai ;Siripongdee, SurapongBengthong, SuwannaThe study aimed to investigate three aspects of Thai student-teacher self-directed learning (SDL) competency. These were the student-teachers opinions concerning their use of social media (SM), self-management (SM), and learning desire (LD). The sample group was 468 student-teachers enrolled in a Bachelor of Industrial Education Program at the King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang in Bangkok, Thailand, in the Academic Year 2021. The research instrument consisted of an SDL competency questionnaire whose discrimination (corrected item-total correlation) values were determined to be between 0.37 and 0.69, which also had a confidence level of 0.91. Data analysis used LISREL 9.10 for the study's second-order confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Descriptive statistics analysis included the mean and standard deviation (SD), which was accomplished using IBM's® SPSS® for Windows Version 21. Three models were developed for the study. These included the social media (SM) model containing 285 participants, the peer learning (PL) model, which contained 183 participants, and the total group (TG) model, which contained everyone surveyed (n = 468). The final analysis from the second-order CFAs showed that student-teacher SDL competency for self-control (SC) (0.96) was valued most by the student-teachers. However, their learning desire (LD) (0.87) and self-management (SM) (0.80) skills were somewhat behind. Moreover, in the Pearson Product Moment Correlation (PPMC) (r) analysis of the 24 variable relationships, the strongest was related to each student-teacher's learning desire. However, the weakest variable relationship was related to their ability to set high personal standards and the self-discipline to achieve them. Finally, quite interestingly, 60.90% of the student-teachers indicated that their SDL is gotten from social media (SM) resources compared to learning from their peers (PL) around them. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Item, Thailand's provincial electricity authority queuing performance management system(2015-01-01) ;Siripongdee, SurapongFongsuwan, WannoThis study was conducted on Thailand's Provincial Electricity Authority using Structural Equation Modeling on the queuing performance management. This state enterprise is vital to the security and stability of Thailand and is responsible for organizing production, delivery and distribution of electricity being delivered to the public from 73 provincial sales offices out of a total of 77. Research methodologies used within this study include both quantitative and qualitative research. Quantitative is further qualified in this research essay from the survey given to 344 power generation and distribution executives. The Partial Least Square (PLS) technique, a form of structural equation modeling, is additionally used due to it being component-based rather than covariance-based. Additionally, qualitative research is supported by input from questionnaires from 10 key Thai government electricity officials utilizing the purposive sampling approach. The results showed that Competency and Organizational Management had a direct and immediate effect on innovation management and innovation management had a direct and positive effect on queuing management performance. A fact recognized by a hypothesis significance p<0.05, respectively, with the results of qualitative research being consistent with the results of quantitative research. The findings from this study concluded that transformational leadership affects queuing management performance within the state electricity agency and is required by service staff to effectively and efficiently implement innovation management leading to organizational changes.
