This paper presents the slot antenna fed by coplanar waveguide (CPW) for WLAN applications. The characteristics of an antenna are proposed and analyzed for instance return loss, bandwidth and far field radiation patterns. Simulation results of the proposed antenna show the impedance bandwidth, determined by-10 dB return loss, approximate 140 % (1.66-9.44GHz) of the center band. The radiation patterns are bi-directional, and maximum gain is 5.7 dBi at 5.0 GHz. The simulation results of the slot antenna are analyzed by using IE3D Software.

A compact ultra-wideband (UWB) CPW-fed slot antenna design is presented. The antenna consists of a wide rectangular slot on the ground plane with rectangular-ring shaped tuning stub. The simulation result of the impedance matching for the proposed antenna show the impedance bandwidth, determined by-10 dB return loss of 116 %, coverage 2.94 GHz to 11.06 GHz for UWB applications. The simulation radiation patterns and gain of the antenna at different operational frequencies are presented and discussed.

This paper presents coplanar waveguide (CPW) fed step slot antenna. It achieves wide band from 2.0 GHz to 4.2 GHz which is the frequency band covered the standard IEEE 802.11b/g (2.4 - 2.485 GHz) for use in WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) and covered two frequencies of WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) 2.5 GHz and 3.5 GHz. The characteristics of antenna are proposed and analyzed for instance input impedance, return loss and far field radiation patterns. © 2006 ICASE.

The purpose of this paper is to study the effect of varying dimension of slot loop antenna by fix perimeter. The concept of designing is most simply introduced by considering a width of slot antenna for match impedance 50 ohms. This research is concerned in proportional of length and width of loop shape, such as : square loop shape 1:1, rectangular loop shape 5:4, 10:7, 3:2 and 2:1, respectively. The perimeter of loop shape is designed at frequency 2.4 GHz, this perimeter is fixed for other loop shape for considered the effect of varying dimension. © 2005 IEEE.
