Item type:Item, Design of MURROMAF filters with equiripple stopband attenuation(1989-01-01) ;Thajchayapong, P. ;Rungsunseri, Y.Punkasirikul, C.A class of filters known as multiple real-pole equal-ripple rational (MRPER) filters has already been proposed. It provides the advantages of third-order block realization or the Cauer type of filter. A design technique is proposed here for a multiple real-root maximally flat (MURROMAF) filter with equiripple stopband. The realization method makes use of the inherent translinear loop at the output stage of the op amp as a means to perform frequency doubling. The function characteristics lie between the maximally flat type and the equiripple type. The oscillator utilizes frequency-selective feedback from the periodic structures created in the microstrip waveguide to the Gunn diode to achieve stable oscillation. An oscillator design by means of an equivalent-circuit model is described. The design is a J-K flip-flop-based counter. With appropriate control circuitry, this chip can function as a multimode counter/divider subsystem. The device was fabricated using a 5-μm p-well polysilicon-gate CMOS process. The realization method uses the inherited class AB complementary stage of a general-purpose operational amplifier (op amp) as a means to perform a rectifier action. Item type:Item, Integrable Electronically Tunable Current Conveyors(1988-01-01) ;Surakampontorn, W.Thitimajshima, P.A generalised current conveyor, termed an electronically tunable second-generation current conveyor (ECCII), whose current-transfer ratio can be varied by electronic means, is introduced. A method is proposed for realising ECCII in monolithic integrated form providing both a positive and a negative ECCII in the same circuit. Experimental and simulation results demonstrating the circuit performance are included. Some simple applications which show that their circuit property can be varied by electronic means are also presented. © 1988, The Institution of Electrical Engineers. The circuit is realized through the use of an active network, termed an ‘electronically tunable second-generation current conveyor’ (ECCII), which is a current conveyor with electronically variable properties. A new efTicient algorithm for numerical simulations of non-dispersive dealy-lines is given.
