Item type:Item, Current-mode universal filter and quadrature oscillator using current controlled current follower transconductance amplifiers(2019-08-15) ;Kumngern, MontreeKhateb, FabianThis paper presents a new current-mode quadrature oscillator and universal filter that employs two current controlled current follower transconductance amplifiers and two grounded capacitors. The proposed circuit can be realized either as a quadrature oscillator or as a universal filter without changing circuit topology. In case the circuit works as a quadrature oscillator, the condition and the frequency of oscillation can be independently and electronically controlled. Four-phase quadrature current outputs and two-phase quadrature voltage outputs can also be obtained. In case the circuit works as a universal filter, low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, band-stop and all-pass filtering functions can be obtained simultaneously by appropriately selecting the input and output signals. The natural frequency and the quality factor of filter can also be obtained independently and electronically. PSPICE simulation results are used to verify the workability of the new topology. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Item, Electronically tunable current-mode multifunction filter using current-controlled current follower transconductance amplifier(2019-01-01) ;Kumngern, Montree ;Khateb, Fabian ;Prommee, PipatJaikla, WinaiA new electronically tunable current-mode multifunction universal filter with three inputs and one output based on current-controlled current follower transconductance amplifier is presented. The proposed filter can implement low-pass, band-pass, high-pass, band-stop and all-pass transfer functions with a single topology. For implementation of these transfer functions, no passive component-matching conditions, no inverted input signal requirements and high-output impedance are required. Also the proposed filter offers electronic control of the natural angular frequency, low active and passive sensitivities and use of grounded capacitors which is ideal for integrated circuit implementation. The proposed universal biquadratic filter has been used for implementing sixth-order filters. PSPICE simulation results confirm the presented theory. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

The proposed circuit can realize as a quadrature oscillator or a universal filter without changing the circuit topology. When it works as a quadrature oscillator, four quadrature current outputs and two quadrature voltage outputs can be obtained. The condition and frequency of oscillation of oscillator can be controlled orthogonally and electronically. When it works as a universal filter, low-pass, band-pass, high-stop, band-stop, and all-pass filtering functions can be obtained simultaneously. The natural frequency and quality factor of filters can be controlled orthogonally and electronically. The proposed topology is simulated using PSPICE simulators and experimental results are also used to confirm workability of new circuit. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Item, Dual-mode multifunction filter using VDGAs(2018-07-02) ;Channumsin, OrapinTangsrirat, WorapongAn electronically controllable resistorless dual-mode multifunction filter applying two voltage differencing gain amplifier (VDGA) and three external capacitors is presented. The displayed circuit can perform either voltage-mode filter or current-mode filter from the same structure. The circuit demonstrates the ensuing advantageous features: (i) simultaneous realization of highpass (HP), bandpass (BP) and lowpass (LP) filter functions, (ii) no requirement for element matching constraints, (iii) electronic tuning of its major parameters, (iv) low sensitivity performance. The simulation results affirm the workability of the presented circuit. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

The condition of oscillation and frequency of oscillation can be orthogonally controlled. In the case that the circuit works as a universal filter, low-pass, band-pass, high-stop, band-stop, and all-pass filtering functions can be obtained. The natural frequency and quality factor of filters can be electronically controlled. The proposed topology is simulated using PSPICE simulators to confirm the workability of the new circuit. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Item, 1.5-V CMOS current multiplier/divider(2018-06-01) ;Satansup, JetsdapornTangsrirat, WorapongA circuit technique for designing a compact low-voltage current-mode multiplier/divider circuit in CMOS technology is presented. It is based on the use of a compact current quadratic cell able to operate at low supply voltage. The proposed circuit is designed and simulated for implementing in TSMC 0.25-μm CMOS technology with a single supply voltage of 1.5 V. Simulation results using PSPICE, accurately agreement with theoretical ones, have been provided, and also demonstrate a maximum linearity error of 1.5%, a THD less than 2% at 100 MHz, a total power consumption of 508 μW, and -3dB small-signal frequency of about 245 MHz. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Item, Three-input single-output current-mode biquadratic filter with high-output impedance using a single current follower transconductance amplifier(2017-08-01) ;Mongkolwai, Pratya ;Pukkalanun, TattayaTangsrirat, WorapongThe circuit configuration for realizing a canonical current-mode biquad filter with three inputs and single output is introduced. The introduced filter employs a single current follower transconductance amplifier (CFTA) and a minimum of passive components, i.e., one resistor and two grounded capacitors. It is capable of generating all the five standard biquadratic filtering functions and suitable for current-mode cascading by possessing high-output impedance. Also, the proposed filter can be tuned electronically by an external bias current of the CFTA. The circuit is analyzed for the non-idealities of the used CFTA and possesses attractive low sensitivity performance. PSPICE simulation results are found to be in good agreement with the presented theory. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Item, OTA-Based current square-rooting circuit(2017-02-01) ;Kumngern, MontreeTorteanchai, UsaThis paper presents a new simple current-mode square-rooting circuit based on CMOS technology. The proposed circuit consists of only one CMOS operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) with source degeneration and one MOS transistor. The input signal of the circuit is a current and the output is a current proportional to the square root of the input current with high-output impedance level. OTA with source degeneration is used to provide wide input dynamic range. The circuit also exhibits wide bandwidth and good temperature stability. PSPICE simulation results are used to demonstrate the performance of the proposed square-rooting circuit. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Item, Electronically Controllable Resistorless Dual-Mode Multifunction Filter(2017-01-01) ;Mongkolwai, PratyaTangsrirat, WorapongA circuit topology using two compact tunable transconductance cells (G<inf>m</inf>-cells) and three capacitors is presented for realization of an electronically tunable resistorless dual-mode multifunction filter. The presented multifunction filter can operate either in voltage-mode or current-mode, and can realize the highpass, bandpass and lowpass filter responses simultaneously. The filter parameters, i.e. the natural angular frequency (<inf>o</inf>) and the quality factor (Q), are electronically controllable by means of the transconductance gains. No element matching constraints are necessary, and the active and passive component sensitivities are low. PSPICE simulation results based on TSMC 0.25-m CMOS real process agree closely with the theoretical calculations.
