Item type:Item, Optimal control-based integral servo controller for an overhead crane system(2015-01-01) ;Pannil, Pittaya ;Kaeojaikla, PhattarapongTrisuwannawat, ThanitThis paper presents an integral servo controller design in order to eliminate the steady-state tracking error of an overhead crane system according to the servo problem. The design technique uses optimal control approach which encourages to achieve the better performance of the controller for overhead crane system. The simulation results show that the designed integral servo controller can eliminate the errors and reduce the settling time of the responses according to the weight for the integral time. How to select the weights for control is also suggested. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Item, Discrete-time designs for load swing control of an overhead crane(2011-02-01) ;Ukakimaparn, Prapart ;Pannil, Pittaya ;Smerpitak, Krit ;Tirasesth, KittiTrisuwannawat, ThanitThis paper proposed a controller design method for controlling the load swing of an overhead crane. By the addition of the quadratic derivative of state variables term in the usual standard performance index for Discrete Linear Quadratic Gaussian (DLQG) optimal control as an extra weighting to play the role in this task. The results revealed that the swing of the load can be decreased at numerous requirements with excellence. How to select the suitable weights for control is also suggested. © 2011 ISSN 2185-2766. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Item, Optimal H2 controller design with derivative state constraints for torsional vibration system(2009-01-01) ;Komine, Noriyuki ;Boksuwan, Sungwan ;Benjanarasuth, TawornNgamwiwit, JongkolThe powerful derivative state constrained H<inf>2</inf> optimal is presented in order to reduce vibration in oscillatory system with a constant disturbance will be considered. It is shown that the derivative state constrained optimal H<inf>2</inf> integral problems can be reduced to the standard optimal H<inf>2</inf> control. In this paper, the derivative state constrained optimal H<inf>2</inf> integral controller is presented based on the optimal H<inf>2</inf> control problem to control underdamped responses of the linear systems. And the simulation results show that the proposed method is also effectiveness to reduce the damping for the torsional vibration based on two-inertia system. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Item, Derivative state constrained optimal H2 integral servo controller with a prescribed degree of stability(2005-12-01) ;Komine, Noriyuki ;Benjanarasuth, TawornNgamwiwit, JongkolIn this paper, the derivative state constrained optimal H<inf>2</inf> integral servo controller is presented based on the optimal H<inf>2</inf> control problem with a prescribed degree of stability to reduce under damped responses of the controlled linear systems. The proposed servo controller stabilizes the controlled system with a prescribed degree of stability such that its output tracks a step reference input in an optimal H<inf>2</inf> control sense. It is shown that the derivative state constrained optimal H<inf>2</inf> integral servo problems with a prescribed degree of stability can be reduced to the standard optimal H<inf>2</inf> control problem. The application of the proposed method is illustrated by a simulation example of the crane model system to show its effectiveness. ©2005 IEEE. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Item, Derivative State Constrained Optimal H2 Control for Oscillatory Systems and its Application(2000-01-01) ;Trisuwannawat, Thanit ;Tirasesth, Kitti ;lida, Michihiko ;Komine, NoriyukiOchiai, YasuzumiThe optimal H<inf>2</inf> control of oscillatory systems via the constraints of the derivatives of state variables is discussed and applied to a physical system in this paper. It is shown that the derivative state constrained optimal H<inf>2</inf> control can be reduced into the standard optimal H<inf>2</inf> control problem with modified controlled output equations. The solution to the modified standard problem has salient features for controlling oscillatory systems that have been a tough subject in state space as well as in classical frequency domain controls. The results obtained in the paper suggest the directions how to select the constraining weights in the standard state space control designs of oscillatory systems. The application of this approach to the control of a two-inertia resonance system is shown to demonstrate the proposed schemes. © 2000, The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.
